Re: Drop-D (Matteo Mancuso duet solo challenge)
Cool idea and great execution! I dig your playing and especially like the phrasing. The ascending run that starts around the :22 second mark is tight! Thanks! For the phrasing I tried to borrow something from the backing track too, like when I mirror the arpeggio that comes in towards the end. The ...

Drop-D (Matteo Mancuso duet solo challenge)
Hi all, this is a bit of an unusual posting, but since I did use Linux for this I thought I'd share it anyway  Matteo Mancuso is a fantastic fusion guitar player from Sicily, Italy. He's very young, and despite that, he already got hugely popular thanks to his skills (Al Di Meola and Steve Vai ...

Re: New Shores
It is melancholic for sure: it brought me nostalgia for the good ol' days of home computer 8-bit soundtracks!

Re: Can WebRTC help musicians?
I think I could use WebRTC for jamming with my friends. We plug our instruments into my computer and jam together with everyone using headphones, so we don't annoy my neighbors. The only problem is that it's hard to talk to each other when everyone's wearing them. So I had the idea of using our mob...

Re: Axiom (EP)
Great job, it sounds awesome... I've been lately listening to a lot of Deep Purple and lots of sections certainly brought me those vibes; great guitar and keyboard work. (It also reminded me of Uriah Heep). Thanks for the very kind words, I'm glad you liked it so much! It means a lot coming from an...

Re: Zoom/Skype replacement for Musicians on Linux?
Seems to differ with browser/theme. I can't see it in firefox with flat gold theme. With the default theme in firefox it renders as a single period/full stop. I tried the default theme with falkon and it renders as a series of underscores. Sunrat looks to be using custom css, so that will be why it...

Re: Zoom/Skype replacement for Musicians on Linux?
That link to whatsapp is fake. It is a direct download for an Android .apk file. Do you not see it? Attached screenshot below... spam-link.png No I can't see it, maybe it's uBlock doing its job? Weird. It's not uBlock as I also run that. May it be the comment was edited before I saw/quoted it? Or d...

Re: Zoom/Skype replacement for Musicians on Linux?
Hello all There are various video conferencing options for musicians on Linux, including Jitsi, BigBlueButton, and Jamulus. It's important to consider audio quality and latency when selecting a platform. I made a presentation at FOSDEM a couple of years ago that explains why regular conferencing se...

Re: Himiko
Thanks! Great merit goes to the author of the free Taiko drum library I used, which made it very fun to "play" them live with my keyboard

Re: Himiko
Hopefully it will indeed be on Bandcamp soon, as it's part of what should be my next album: 8 out of 9 tracks are done (they just need tweaks) but there's one long epic I've been planning to do for a long time that I need to start from scratch, and it's one of those more complex things I mentioned ...

Re: Himiko
Just bumping this to say (again) what a great track this is. You should put it bandcamp. Thanks, I'm glad you liked it so much!
