Re: Hydrogen syncing with Ardour (pipewire)

I use it that way because for instance say if I'm using midi files to trigger a software synth and then record it well I get some crazy latency. M y main mixing DAW is mixbus32C which 1,024 is perfect for mixing and my interface has next to zero latency. It's one of those audient Sono. But as mentio...

Re: Hydrogen syncing with Ardour (pipewire)

I've done it last night. For me it works the same way as using jack. Do you have pipewire-jack installed? Yes I've got the jack client installed. In fact I've got all of the pipewire apps that are necessary for low latency and pro audio. Hydrogen when playing you can actually see it being registere...

Hydrogen syncing with Ardour (pipewire)

Hey, anyone know how to sync H2 with Ardour using pipewire?
We were able to do so via Jack.

Re: arch alternatives

Have you tried the Chaotic-AUR repository ( https://aur.chaotic.cx/ )? It brings automated builded AUR packages. There are some Wine variations as Wine-TKG ( https://madskjeldgaard.dk/posts/improve-vst-performance-wine-tkg/ ). I'm using Wine-NSPA ( https://github.com/nine7nine/Wine-NSPA ), a variat...

Re: arch alternatives

https://archlinux.org/packages/?q=reaper Then what's this? They've just updated it.. I know I was surprised about a year or so ago when I did a pacman -Syu and it came in. I don't know how quickly this gets updated after release but it is updated very regularly, I notice it in my updates every coup...

Re: arch alternatives

Reaper isn't in the official repos as such. It's in the AUR -- the Arch user repository . The official repos are always up to date, perhaps too much for some people. I regularly update my kernel, and in the four years I've been using Arch, updating my kernel has messed up my system twice. It's easi...

Re: arch alternatives

Glen yes I was actually surprised too when they actually put it in the official repo I yes I was thinking of doing the same thing. I don't care too much about using non-linux how are you plugins but there's not one sub ninja that I was hoping would work but I've noticed that every VST3 that I've ins...

arch alternatives

Hey anyone here using any of the arch alternatives and if yes, do they have special repos where Reaper is up to date and wine-staging? In all my decades of using arch, this is the first time I've ever experienced them being so far behind on getting caught up. Wine-staging for instance was flagged ou...

Re: Harrison's bundle packages, the new ones.

I didn't check it, but I'm quite certain that the SSL part of the bundles need wine (and even that will be a hassle because of iLok) while for the Harrison plugins there are separate Linux installers without iLok etc.(, yet?) I don't like the fact that Harrison got bought by SSL, too. Previously I ...

Harrison's bundle packages, the new ones.

Hey this may have been on topic here already so please forgive me for asking but does anyone know the bundles which includes the SSL stuff from Harrison if the SSL plugins work natively on our platform or do we need wine? I keep getting the emails on deals but I don't want to buy anything if I have ...

Reaper and phasing issues

Hey, is anyone experiencing any phasing issues after rendering midi tracks in Reaper? I've been practicing my engineering skills by using Drumgizmo with 100% bleed so I can get the hang of cleaning up the recordings my drummer would do in a much better way. An older song that I guess was a little to...

Re: [ANN] qpwgraph v0.6.2 - A Winter'24 Release

Is it possible to have this look like 'connection' on Qtrackctl?
I've always hated the Patchbay format.. I spend more time trying to figure what connects to what instead of making music.
Is it ok to use Qjackctl still with Pipewire?

Re: Custom midi map in Ardour, Drumgizmo?

Does this apply to midi drum files taken from SSD 5.5? I would rather process my own drums than use the ones that are genetically processed through all of these plugins that's why I really love Drumgizmo. I can't get the SSD 5.5 working properly on Linux so I would grab the files off of a Windows la...
