Re: Hydrogen offbeat
If I understand you right then you need to increase the resolution value ( it just says "res" here ) in the bar above the pattern editor - i.e. increase it.

Hi, Matt. Edit your .ardour file (having backed-up first  ) and search for "<Insert" The plugin entries start like this example: <Insert type="ladspa" unique-id="3309" count="1"> <Redirect active="yes" placement="PreFader"> <IO name=&...

Re: [wish] gui for jconv
Great work, Hermann!
I love the new skin. Are you going to do a similar one for Guitarix?
(You could call it "mordor" - its evil enough )

Nice work, Brummer! One small hiccup with v0.2: The two images in the top right corner of the panel are not displayed, although they are installed in /usr/local/share/pixmaps. You do not have this problem? And one small complaint - I hesitate here because this is a very fussy point but - do you real...

Re: Two More New Tunes
Cheers, Dave! I did do a "clean" version of "Vancouver Moon" - that was the original idea - but was not at all happy with it: it sounded rather gutless. I guess I'll have to work on that. Yet again, your advice and comments are most appreciated. Gotta have cojones to sing. I do b...

Re: Two More New Tunes
Thanks, Matt! As I don't do a lot of singing I was not at all confident about my vocal efforts here, so its great to get to positive and objective feedback.
Thanks also for the EQ tip, I'll do something about that.

Recent versions up to and including svn@427: no problems, except that you are being so productive I'm struggling to keep up with you! However, a couple of questions: the IR control on the main panel with the freq control ( and others in the associated widget): how is this supposed to work? I don't g...

Re: Ardour images. What is wrong here?
Cheez! That looks like a spider's web! A single connection from m-audiophile-midi-capture to fluidsynth should do it. Does your keyboard have built-in sounds? That could be where the KPianoB5 is coming from. If you have a cable connecting your soundcard's midi-out back to the keyboard, try unpluggin...

Two More New Tunes
Here's a couple more new tunes. The first is a first for me: a song!

And the second is a laid-back instrumental:

Your comments/criticism would be appreciated.

Re: Ardour images. What is wrong here?
No, you're not missing out - I would say that a dedicated midi in is probably better than using usb. Even if you get no sound, does the little light flash next to the "qsynth 1" tab when you press a key? If not, then the midi is misconnected somehow. post a pick of the midi connects ? Have...

Re: Ardour images. What is wrong here?
@spm_gl : thanks for the tip, Jan. But does it really make that much difference? I can see the point if you are recording to actual magnetic tape; but if the signal chain is mostly digital? I guess it's one of the many fine points than separate the professionals (yourself) from the amateurs (me). @c...

Re: Ardour images. What is wrong here?
"Options > Monitoring > Audio hardware does monitoring." means that you are going monitor any recording input with your hardware and that the software doesn't have to do anything. This is the option I use because all my inputs go through a hardware mixer and I monitor them at that level. E...

Re: Ardour images. What is wrong here?
The "Audio 1/out 1" and "Audio 1/out 2" in your first pic will be your track I'd wager.
If you edit the track name "Audio 1" in Ardour, then click the refresh button in Qjackctl, you should see the new track names there.
