Christmas Music

I recorded some Christmas songs with my daughters again this year. They each did a solo piano piece and the younger girl sang "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" and the older did "I Want You for Christmas" which is a cover of "I Want You to Want Me". It was all recorded...

Yes, thank you, I did get it working. Still a bit of a learning curve though, eh?

Re: vcvrack.com - open source modular

Thanks for the links. I was having a hard time finding info the didn't already assume a certain level of knowledge.
My issue anyway is not so much getting sound but rather getting the keyboard to input into the rack.

Re: vcvrack.com - open source modular

A lot of discussion on here about how to build the software but I would like to figure out how to use it. If I insert a midi module and choose the midi interface that my keyboard is plugged into I assume I should be able to send midi data in with the keyboard. Doesn't work. I can get sound to come o...

Monster Mash

I did this Halloween song with my kids. I thought it would be difficult to get my daughter to do the old school vocal harmonies, but she picked it up really quick.

Re: Plug in Essential Harrison Mixbus don't wiev in ardour 5.12 list

I'm not positive but I think Harrison has their own plug-in directory. You might try finding where it stores it's plug-ins and add that to Ardour's plug in search paths.

Re: No sound in web browsers

I think you need to install "pulseaudio-module-jack" to get the pulseaudio bridge to work. You have pulseaudio installed but it's not bridged to jack. Install the bridge and then when Cadence starts jack it will route pulseaudio through jack and you won't have to think about it.

Re: Rock Instrumental

Thanks so much for the compliment. That would be great if you used it in your training. My Father-in Law is from Finland although the climate around here can be a little harsher. Right now it's creeping up into the high 30's but in the winter it's not uncommon to get at least a few nights below -40C...

Re: Rock Instrumental

Thanks for listening. @42Low Do you mean that the timing on the lead guitar drifts a little off the beat a couple times near the end? You could call that playing with feel if you like. lol. My excuse is that I only ever am able to find 10 or 15 minutes 2 or 3 times a week to work on these things so ...

Rock Instrumental

I posted a new song more or less in the same vein as some of the stuff I've been doing in the last couple years. Creepy songs in a minor key.
