peace jam

sorry, it's not fully xrun free, but that's hardly noticeable. Couldn't have finished the jam otherwise, old netbook was at the edge.

Re: Autumn leaves

wow cool, I've not been into orchestral music much lately, but I see things are beginning to move here, in that genre. Midi note misses in ardour are, ime, not directly xrun related most of the times, #1 cause with me, are note starts that, for one reason or the other, have slipped over the left reg...

Let there be MIDI!

I now haz midi keyboard! ;) , a kind of pocket device with 2 octaves and not much more, but the first I own. It came with a 12 year old, 32bit, 2x 1.6GHz cpu, 1GB ram netbook, my main xmas gifts. Here are the two at work: http://alooshu.byethost17.com/ditzko_reloaded.mp3 http://alooshu.byethost17.co...

Re: Libre Music Challenge #13 : Looptober

@bsg75 thanks that's exactly what I needed to know, wasn't sure there were BBCode tags for it - most of the time, I'm coming from elinks, a text browser in the tradition of http://lynx.invisible-island.net/ , which works surprisingly well, saves data enormously, but won't give me interactive editor...

Re: Libre Music Challenge #13 : Looptober

So, I guess to conclude this LMC we need some comments from @forestandgarden! I'm afraid that'll have to wait, since big amounts of data are a logistics challenge for me, and even uploading my own part, involved taking a bus to town and only coming back the next morning. BUT, tell me another bit: w...

Re: autumn days

@oscillator thanks, being evocative in a way that can't be reduced to a cause-effect rationale, is some of the biggest praise I could desire; being 'the ghost in the machine', playing that ace of not being a bot, but knowing the technology I want 'spirit' to propagate across, is a big part of my se...

autumn days

went indoors around sunset, felt like picking up the guitar, was noodling a little while reading chat, the song idea came up and developed, I thought like I could record this. but will the batteries last, in the end, I fired up the studio, and focused hard on not loosing time tweaking sounds too muc...

I've *not* yet listened (because I want to savour it properly), but the mix with all contributions is just out

Re: Anyone Produce Kalimba Music?

one of my all time favorite artists https://stevetibbetts.com/ (and his percussionist Marc Andersson) are using Kalimbas on some tracks, I'd have to go through my collection in order to tell you which

blues

njd, who just made a profile here, started a small collaboration/challenge for an IRC channel (##guitar @ libera), he's now busy mixing the results. Basically, 'jam over a 12 bar blues backing track', one single iteration. I came up with two more backing- and two solo takes instead, and as a demo, m...

Re: Libre Music Challenge #13 : Looptober

feel free to re-tag if needed. I might have put the full url I'd like to be the attribution, in the 'Artist'-field, if so, that could confuse a player, perhaps. Taggology is beyond me, tbh, I've failed to get consistent results between how ardour, audacity, clementine, and the handful of music playe...

Re: Libre Music Challenge #13 : Looptober

nice :) I wouldn't mind to find little downloadable mp3 or ogg sketches of what people do with the loops, like that, I can quickly enjoy on the phone, which is easier than getting all collections and trying the suggested combinations, for me. for places where it's all coming together: one could do w...

wow, that's a tough cookie. If it doesn't embarrass you, submit anyway.

I wish you an abundance of both coping skills and healing power.
