Re: Studio Music 64 2021 ( debian bullseye + kx studio based)

I don't see anything that would allow users to *redistribute* the software, which is what you seem to be doing here. Could you clarify whether and how you got permission to do that? no one forces you to download and use the iso and its plug in On this forum, we generally feel you should respect aut...

Re: Studio Music 64 2021 ( debian bullseye + kx studio based)

new decent sampler Hi gennargiu , I see you can download 'decent sampler' for free from https://www.decentsamples.com/product/decent-sampler-plugin/ after leaving your contact details. While the author allows you to *download* his sampler, I don't see anything that would allow users to *redistribut...

Re: Kx studio 2021 remix ( debian bullseye based + artwork and repo kx studio + kde plasma)

I've removed the download link from the original post. I'm sure gennargiu had all the best intentions and put in a bunch of work in putting this together for us - thanks for that! That said we should absolutely make sure we're respectful of the original authors' copyrights before sharing publicly he...

Re: WTF!

I was suffering severe withdrawl symptoms yesterday. This site down for (at the time) unknown reason, and Sound On Sound down for major upgrade :( I was (almost) reduced to doing household stuff   I was checking the situation on https://is.uberspace.online/, it seems there has been a po...

Re: I know two people who died from Sars-CoV-2, do you know anyone?

In Germany we have a saying (I'm sure you have something similar) that goes: Ich mag mit Deiner Meinung nicht übereinstimmen, aber ich trete dafür ein, daß Du Deine Meinung sagen darfst. No we don't. This is a literal translation of a saying from the USA. It is quite the opposite from German law, t...

I'm really happy the discussion around this potentially explosive topic has been fairly civil so far.

As we've seen before it has a chance of turning into shouting at each other. Let's please stop before we get there - otherwise I'll close the thread.

It looks like you were using version 2.22 of lilypond, but version 2.20 of the docs. Maybe that's where the disconnect came from?

Re: key of G# major?

Well it might be just me, but calling a key on a piano major or minor confuses the heck out of me. Aaaah now I understand what you mean. The word 'key' unfortunately has multiple meanings. Indeed a 'key on a keyboard or piano' is not major or minor. The 'key a piece is set in' is, though, definitel...

Re: key of G# major?

what's the point or the difference? I suspect they added them in both variations just so people who search for G# major will also get search results... but indeed I don't suspect there will be many ;). Perhaps they have some automatic transposition going on that makes it easy to upload the track in...

Re: MIDI pitch to CC - Akai MIDIMIX Button Event Routing

Does anyone know of a way to reroute MIDI pitch data to CC controls? I guess being able to filter these out would also be a boon I've used PureData for these kinds of things in the past - but that's probably overkill. I think mididings should be able to do this (but I don't think I have used it mys...
