Re: LNXMuSCNS video meetings on Saturday / 6pm GMT / 8pm CEST / 14.00 EDT

The last 3 Saturdays I checked in several times and didn't meet anybody
It is really hard to meet somebody. Does it make sense to set up a rule like "check in at the full hour only"?

Re: Basic drum track

@jonr You can also try JJazzLab "https://www.jjazzlab.com/en/". It comes with hundreds or more beats, each consisting of groove variations, fills, breaks. It also can read Yamaha's styles. You can export the beats and even the complete songs to a midi file and then integrate it in your daw...

@tramp
Yes, thank you. I compiled it after finding out about varying libs and it now works fine in Debian 11 too :-)

bfalke It really is odd and you are not the only one ;-) I am experiencing exact the same problems with Linux Reaper and the Fluida.lv2 plugin. It didn't work on my Linux Mint system until the latest Reaper Update two days ago, now it works fine. Additionally it works only on one of my Debian 11 sy...

Re: What mid-range audio interfaces are compatible with (L)ubuntu 22.10?

I am using with Debian 11 a "MOTU M4 3rd edition" (in Europe € 260,-) and an "ESI Maya22 USB" (in Europe € 80,-). Both are working without any problems and have excellent specs.
For the Maya even exists an mixer and router application: https://sourceforge.net/projects/maya22gui/

As most of the messages, pretentious and devaluating.

Hi there!
Once again I would like to draw your attention to "nted" see: https://vsr.informatik.tu-chemnitz.de/s ... nted.xhtml
It is in debian's repos and is perfect to scetch down my ideas.

Greetings, Michael

Re: i promised myself rosegarden

At the risk of being burned as a heretic, nobody actually needs a DAW at all. I surely will not burn you. To my mind there is too much fuss about the technic and numbers. Today you get cheap multitrack recorders including effects providing quality you dreamed of 40 years ago (I am 57). You can reco...

Re: Audio Cards that work with Linux. Recommendations?

Concerning USB audio interfaces I've used a "Behringer UMC204HD" and still am using a "MOTU M4 v3" and an "ESI Maya22 USB". All of the three worked/work very well on Debian 11/12 with a real-time-kernel from the official repos and have good to excellent specs. Despite o...

Re: Behringer UMC404HD works out the box

The UMC404HD (usually) needs a power supply, you do use it?
UMC204HD for example is a dedicated USB only powered interface.

Did you test it on Windows to be sure it is not damaged?

Re: Looping software

A contryman of mine creates "Kluppe"-Looper, a loop-player and recorder, designed for live use: https://kluppe.klingt.org/
It works very well for me and can be compiled easily.
