Re: Rated Blue - "Spanish Moon" Released!

Excellent work all around! Top notch performances, great sound and mixing, a little humor in the video. Couldn't stop moving with the groove, something that seems increasing hard to find these days. A lot more than a little feat. What is the vocal processing you're doing? It sounds very cool but the...

Re: CollaB3 vintage organ

I wonder what this can do that setBfree doesn't already do ? I use SetBfree a lot and love it. Having spent some more time with CollaB3, I would say it's just another option, not a replacement. CollaB3 is a bit less tweakable, and to me that's a strength. Everything is right there and it sounds gre...

Re: Mixbus 6 is out

I got 32C during one of their crazy sales, but sometimes wish I had stuck with regular Mixbus because of the lowlowlow upgrade train. The only differences seem to be the number of busses and the EQ, both of which are nice but neither of which I really need. Either way, 6 is definitely a nice upgrade...

Outstanding work. The sounds are excellent and the graphics are lovely as well. Works great standalone and Mixbus sees the plugin fine on my end.

Re: New song - Save Me

Thank you for sharing. Pleasing mix, nice sounds and top notch vocal performances. Very well done. Not sure if you are looking for constructive feedback, but it's a very long song with the refrain repeated quite a bit--you might consider making the arrangement more dynamic, or adding another part, o...

Re: Cooped up with Covid? Wanna proofread the AVL 2020 Manual?

If I may put you on the spot for some valuable product research...? I think AVL is amazing! I've used it in the past and the reasons I don't use it now are not because of any shortcomings on AVL's part. Xfce is my favorite, but I like all the DEs. My setup is ever evolving and is trending toward si...

Re: Cooped up with Covid? Wanna proofread the AVL 2020 Manual?

I read through it last night while watching reruns of Curb Your Enthusiasm. I have to say the only thing I saw were a couple it's that should be its typos. Seriously, that's it. You have a truly remarkable ability to convey technical information in a clear and conversational style. The AVL man...

Re: Audio assault plugins @ linux

@turbidh20 Hi, Thanks for the answer! I had been a bit hasty and just had missed the 'Audio Assault' part of the file tree, I just had from 'Duality' on down to the subfolders in /opt. Working now but still don't see a place to register the plugin but it's working anyway.. Maybe it's just me but re...

Re: Making music as you get older

I actually struggle with wanting to share new recordings with people who I know personally, because I'm a little self-conscious that I'm still making "home recordings" at my age. There's no reason to feel self-conscious about being a musician. It's the squares who should be self conscious...
