LSP MIDI Trigger crashing MIxbus32C
Hey, anyone having any issues with so far ONLY with LSP MIDI Trigger and Mixbus32C? Everything else works amazingly but the trigger. When I open the plugin for editing, as soon as I close it the UI goes blank, Mixbus32C locks up then clashes about a minute later. I am using the multi-band compressor...

Re: SSL and Harrison consoles
Funny as you said that though you're on to something. Almost every flat screen TV in fact I think all of them run on Linux. The problem is us desktop users. Last time I was a distro watch I think we had over a hundred different versions of Linux so yes I can see the commercial company saying you kno...

Re: SSL and Harrison consoles
Yes Ben just emailed me back and he said that the AVA plugins were actually not just made for Harrison consoles DAWs But was more to get the pro tools users and stuff like that. He said keep in mind that everything is only a few months old and they are pushing for us so he's asking us to just have p...

Re: SSL and Harrison consoles
OK, so I'm getting full-on angry now. (don't worry, it will pass :D). The latest news from SSL is that they want existing Harrison AVA users to 'upgrade' to iLok. https://support.solidstatelogic.com/hc/en-gb/articles/13697294653085-Existing-AVA-Harrison-Plugin-users Fuck you SSL. Fuck right off, an...

Re: SSL and Harrison consoles
I've always hoped that some $big$ outfit that uses linux in render farms to produce movies, would expand their linux use to the audio side of hollywood productions. Paul Davis and Ben Loftist offer some basic comments on the ownership change in this topic: https://discourse.ardour.org/t/harrison-an...

Re: SSL and Harrison consoles
I just need the drum flow from Harrison For what it's worth, my son-in-law, who is an expert drummer, has had great success creating pro quality midi files with Superior Drummer, and often without the sticks. To the point of startling recipients with the knowledge of their creation. Glennbo, a linu...

Re: SSL and Harrison consoles
Thanks a lot man. Still haven't found what I'm looking for though. I'm seeing a lot of people don't have it working properly. I don't know why I got a sick gut feeling that SSL will slowly stop supporting our platform. I was one of those guys when I heard of the merger didn't see the positive becaus...

SSL and Harrison consoles
Hey I don't know if anyone tried to buy that $400 bundle for $35 from SSL in Harrison as they are having an introductory sale I guess so 91% off. I am asking because I tried to buy it because I just need the drum flow from Harrison and as I clicked on it it took me to an SSL site and they wanted my ...

Re: CALF plugins?
Doesn't BASSUP from EQ10Q do the same kind of things than the CALF Bass Enhancer ? It may be similar, I've never found it to sound as good, also another GTK-based set of Plugins left undeveloped, same issue as Calf.. EQ10Q, I'm just wrapping up tonight and I just had to use that, well the compresso...

Re: CALF plugins?
I am not happy with posts like "As for the rest of them I pretty much avoid them largely due to the bad press here" "I will avoid the Calf plugins from now on although I liked the gui and the handling very well. This means that people don't trust their ears but rely on some technical...

Re: Superpocket - recorded and mixed with Ardour
The song has a serious Beatles vibe to it or that psychedelic almost kind of jazz sensation it gives me. I personally thought it was a cool track!

Re: CALF plugins?
Calf is a great plugin suit. I'm surprised that Falktx or someone like that haven't continued it.. Same as these eq10q.
Thank goodness we have Vladimir and his LSP... They are superb!!

anyone using YSFX?
Hey, I like using some of Reaper's plugins while mixing in Mixbus32C. Recently, I needed to use it and when I tried to load it, Mixbus32C just hangs until I kill it. Nothing has been done for over a year with YSFX at their github site. It works with Ardour though. Anyone experiencing any funky activ...

Re: Neural Record
This is slightly off topic, but I thought Audio Assault plugins generally have linux versions. Looking at their website, https://audioassault.mx , I don't see anything called bassgrinder, however. It's a free plugin that they don't make anymore. This was before they started to support our platform....

Re: Neural Record
Yep I'm gonna try this if it is what I think it is.. Can I capture a Windows vst amp that's running under wine? I love the Audio Assault Bassgrinder free vst which runs under wine but when I use it, I get my tone quickly the commit the track as we all know that all it takes is a wine update and we a...
