Re: Ardour fails to load ZynAddSubFX in existing session

I really need to remove the old plugin version to get rid of duplicates and old unsupported code.
I have been trying to do that for months now. The official plugin has LV2 and VST versions since more than a year now, use that please.

Re: Carla - some GUIs not available

You did nothing wrong, I had to push an update with some untested code because some things were broken before.
Got some reports of things to look at, will take care of them tomorrow and push an update again when fixed)

No luck. As opposite to Guitarix, Carla seems not implementing the feature about loading wav file.

Correct, this has one of the few lv2 features that carla does not implement yet

Re: Librem 5 - free Debian smartphone

That title is quite misleading... I think you wanted to say android-free?

Certainly a project to keep eyes on.
I will get one for me eventually

Re: Debian-stable dist-upgrade with the KXStudio repository

dist-upgrade is safe, and the option you should use by default anyway as some updates push new packages to install. but dont use autoremove blindly, specially with a "-y" that will skip user input and just remove stuff. cache clean and -f install are also not needed dont overcomplicate thi...

Re: Fiwe - wireless audio effects

Yes, please provide the source. I saw some of my own code being used there. you made your own DPF wrapper for you host? Neat. Loading all these different plugins, but still remain a single binary is quite impressive. Some people were saying this is the way to go, that we dont need plugins as we are ...

Re: More Carla Questions

does that happen when scanning? I did not push the changes to handle SFZ scanning yet, I am finishing a few other things first that go together with it.

dragging&dropping the files into carla-rack tab works just fine for me.

Re: Carla crash with too many SFZs loaded

the streaming version is quite terrible on its design decisions. new threads and memory are allocated *during playback* (ie, on the processing thread). there are already a few projects that forked from sfzero, implementing some opcodes here and there. I did not finish the sfzero move yet (just need ...

Re: Cadence: issues with system audio

ok, I did not know spotify (I mean the linux client they have officially) worked without pulseaudio. last time I tried with raw alsa, I got no sound at all. I did not see any options for configuring the sound driver... apulse seems really the wrong solution. faking an audio daemon, to send it to vir...

I know what you mean, my problem is with someone else overly negative attitude (more than me, which I did not think as possible!)

No apologies needed, you did nothing wrong.

Re: Remove duplicate pulseaudio sink

oh so nice you are. there are things kxstudio does in order to make things better for the overall number of users. of course, sometimes it can fail, there are too many different setups and configs out there to try to support everything. edge-cases always happen. anyway, if it doesn't work for you, d...

Except if you need skype, or firefox, or spotify, or a bunch of other applications out there that don't speak alsa anymore and just pulseaudio.
