Re: New M-Audio Air series looks promising

Looks good indeed, but I don't like the volume knob. They likely begin to crackle after some time and the you can dump the whole unit.
Or is the volume control digital? If so, that would be interesting.

Re: Jack/USB/Xruns

You could try to put the Zoom H4 on a bus which is different from Bus 2 (e.g. Bus 1 which is also USB 2.0) and keep the mouse in place. At least for a test.

Re: Jack/USB/Xruns

Is it only on that USB port? Likely your interface and your mouse are sharing the same IRQ.

Can you post the output of /etc/init.d/rtirq status?

Re: [MUSEIC] New song made with MusE

Pretty good. There a some things that could be improved in the mix. For my taste it could be much more in your face. You have a lot of panning and effects going on, but I would place much more stuff in the center and make the track much dryer. What doesn't fit is the sound that comes in @ 0:24. It s...

Re: O Come, O Come, Emmanuel

That's great and well done with a lot of soul!! It reminds me a bit of a band called KLOSTER.

Thanks! Yes, there could be more bass, but I decided to have the kick as the lowest part and the bass above.

Re: Controlled By Unseen Forces - Electro, G#min, 94 bpm

I really like this track! Very nice all around. The whole song has a nice groove and vibe. It has an open sound, but doesn't sound empty because it is so full of ear candy. I love your sound engineering. The rhythm tracks are solid, keeping the song moving forward. The voice samples are interesting...

Re: The Winter at Oz

Not really my business, but this track has its moments. It sounds a little bit too much like typical midi instruments to my ears but it is really composed well!! With other instruments / sounds (e.g. some U-he stuff, DIVA, etc.) and maybe some orchestral percussion sounds I could imagine that this c...

Re: Carla and Catia

I have Catia running all the time and make my connections there. The midi connections also show up in Carla, so maybe you just can use whatever you want. As long it works it should be fine :)

ah.. right forgot this. Maybe in Catia in you have the transport controls also and is maybe midi routing is not possible in Carla (have to check this, I always you Catia for connecting stuff).
