Yes, it's a bit dumb and simple. It also took me only 2 days to make it, so it can be seen as an experiment.
Let's see how many votes it will get. It was for a Renoise competition and dead line is today

Re: Bitwig Studio
Was playing a bit more today and saw that in Bitwig I get sporadic xruns, although DSP load is very low on the order of ~15% only. Maybe these are very sharp spikes or something else is going on. No problems with other DAWs, must be a BITWIG specific issue. @Jonetsu: I've seen @KVR that you had simi...

Re: Molam
Ah... you wrote it in the first post. I bought renoise last year, made one song and then moved to Reaper/Ardour. I like Renoise, but as there was no single post by the dev (s) in the forum since years .... come on ... @distortion: I'll listen again tomorrow. The Renoise Manual sites have been updat...

Climate Change
Made a track in RENOISE the last 3 days:
https://soundcloud.com/lilith_93/climate-change-1
It's quite simple and straight forward and adding more gimmicks made it worse imo.
I mainly used HIVE from U-he.

Re: KXStudio project is currently on a break
These are terrible news for me. KXStudio is the only distro that has always done whatever I needed out-of-the-box, with my favourite DE and all the tools I needed. I have checked the website quite every day since Ubuntu 18.04 has been released for KXStudio 18.04, and now it looks we have to wait un...

Actually there's a Reaper extension, but not for Linux yet.

Re: A various my live performance on gnu linux system and daw
Just was listening to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkggAZx ... e=youtu.be and I like it. Sounds a bit like the Blade Runner soundtrack. What's the noise in there? It sounds like a connection problem.

Re: Bitwig Studio
In Reaper you can enter notes by clicking Insert or delete them with delete, which is much faster than clicking with the mouse as you can enter many notes very fast by just holding the key. Also the velocity adjustment is strange as you have to click every single note. It's much faster in Reaper (ma...

Re: Bitwig Studio
Thanks for the description. The scanning issue is really creepy, especially as the Bitwig guys don't have a clue what's going on. I played again with it and my impression is: Very simple with not too many functions, can be learned completely within 1-2 days. Reaper offers a lot more functions and is...

Re: Bitwig Studio
The bitwig discount is valid one more week. My plan is to play with it the next week. Some days ago I was fiddling with it I had some issues with undo. It was not possible to undo midi editing actions. After restart it worked again. Are there any other issues? I'm on Debian stable. Do you think Ubun...

Maybe the archlinux guys can tell you more. I don't think that it will be a big problem.totheatom wrote:Thanks for the reply. Any idea to what extent?

Re: Manjaro?
Manjaro is based on Arch Linux, so I guess it could be a little bit more fiddling than an Ubuntu or Debian based distro.

Re: A loud sound after adding audio track in Ardour os Avlinux 2018 latest version
When i changed the setting in routing grid of the each track for sources: hardware : system : capture 1 / capture 2. the sound stops.but the capture out is changing every time i add the audio track. Why does Ardour change the routings? This can happen when using a manager like Claudia. Ardour + Cla...

Re: A loud sound after adding audio track in Ardour os Avlinux 2018 latest version
Please post a screenshot of the mixer and editor window. Are you using jack? If so, post a screenshot of your jack settings / connections. Is the sound distorted noise?
