New track. Please critique mixdown - https://clyp.it/nratcght

I've gotten my Clyp.it up to speed.

Re: Best Platforms to Share Creative Commons Music?

Someone in another IRC channel told me about clyp.it but I don't understand the favouritism over it. However, its gaining a cult following like that, I'll try it. I'm not sure if anyone still uses ReverbNation. I don't want to touch MySpace again either.

Do you know of any other platforms?

What got you into creating and sharing softsynth presets and for what DAW's and VST's? Hope you don't mind me asking.

Re: Audio Spectrum Visualizer in kdenlive

Had to redownload the appImage a few times before it worked. I thought I'd have to figure out FUSE first. My distro told me to check out instructions at https://github.com/AppImage/AppImageKit/wiki/FUSE. I'll report back once I've played with it a while.

Re: Audio Spectrum Visualizer in kdenlive

This is awesome! Thanks for the links. I didn't even think to check Wikipedia for this. I'm going to try VSXu and maybe projectM tomorrow. Have you used them?

Best Platforms to Share Creative Commons Music?

What are the best platforms to share Creative Commons Music?

I currently use YouTube and Soundcloud. I plan to check out http://libremusicproduction.com/ today after seeing it here.

Re: Creative Commons

I'm with aprzekaz. Anyone can download your music if they can hear anyway. At least give a backlink and proper credit to where you got it.

Re: Audio Spectrum Visualizer in kdenlive

I'm not against that at all, 42low. I also prefer to stick to what I hear for the most part. I'm asking this for kdenlive because I want to create videos with certain visual effects.

Re: Audio Spectrum Visualizer in kdenlive

Thanks again for the link. I couldn't find anything like it. In my kdenlive its also seemingly broken. My last video used the VLC Visual effect. I also did some cool command line stuff with ffmpeg, but it seems everyone uses "After Effects" for that stuff while a few use Blender. Your thou...

That's another one but I'm glad you found that link. The one I'm referring to is called "Audio Spectrum Filter".

Re: kxstudio-meta-all

This is probably the first time I've heard someone talk about using KxStudio. I've used Ubuntu Studio for a good while though. There are many open source options for audio/video you can download on your own. Video: Kdenlive OpenShot Lives Audio: LMMS QTractor Audacity All can be downloaded separatel...

Re: Newbie Mixdown Help

I had not plans on adding to it for now. I'm hoping someone chooses it as decent background music. In the meantime, I've moved up to mixing down a bit much complex tracks - 4-8 bars versus 1. This is my latest - https://soundcloud.com/golivelively/just-pump-blood-instrumental I plan to upload 2 more...

Re: Newbie Mixdown Help

The kick and bass are one sample. Does it sound that out of place to you? I didn't buy anything from Pro Audio Files, just read the articles like this new one I saw today - https://theproaudiofiles.com/free-plugins/ . Thanks again for the links and advice. This is another simple track I've just fini...
