Re: Old soundfont files from hammersound.net

Is this project paused/abandoned? This is something I'd love to see happen and would be willing to contribute.

Re: Old soundfont files from hammersound.net

Perhaps there could be some way to allow users to indicate whats good about it in a single sentence review, then report the most used words or something? Just thinking aloud here... That's a good idea, I may try this in the future. It also occurred to me to scrape all of hammersounds' soundfont rev...

Re: [ANN] Musical Artifacts - find presets, configs, sounds

It would be a good idea also to tag plugin catalogs with their formats. It is, the format is currently inferred from the uploaded file and extra relevant ones can be added by the uploader. If there are some files with this information missing you can tell me here or leave comment in the page and I ...

Re: [ANN] Musical Artifacts - find presets, configs, sounds

Hi, cool site indeed!. How about adding possibility to add links to youtube and soundcloud and such that could have some preview of the sounds. Also with 'report dead link' to get rid of obsolete links at some point (automated check based on the reports could remove the links) Edit: Oh, they were a...

Re: Arab and Turk instruments soundfonts

Loaded this with carla and some calf reverb and had lots of fun! Really inspiring sounds, some of these really cut through the mix. If you need a better place host the file may I suggest http://musical-artifacts.com/ ? That's the type of thing I made it for. You'll be able to specify your authorship...

Old soundfont files from hammersound.net

-- tl;dr Cataloguing the classic soundfont files from hammersound.net here https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts?tags=hammersound -- The full story So, I've sent an email to the owner of Hammersound last year about helping him mirroring the files and helping preserving them. I've had no answer and...

Re: Free sample packs from Yamaha in SFZ and Wav format

Hey all,

Since I don't trust facebook and the magazine people to keep these files up in the future I've mirrored it on archive.org and added to Musical Artifacts:

https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts ... es%2Csynth

Cheers and happy music making!

Re: Carla Instrument Pack (72 files)

EDIT : While I wrote this the OP and FalkTX had a whole conversation about it already ... my question has been answered Hmm... I suppose the : <Binary>/usr/lib/vst/carla.vst/CarlaPatchbay.so</Binary> part is to blame. I didn't create the instruments so I don't know if Carla has a good reason for us...

Carla Instrument Pack (72 files)

Just wanted to let you know that a few days ago the amazing Cris Owl Alvarez has released a pack filled with Carla instruments. Here they are: https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts/177 They're done with some synths (Calf Monosynth, xsynth, whysynth, ...) and some lv2 plugins. I tested most of them...

Re: open source musicians podcast 71

is there an (REST-like) API to list and download presets? Yes, the api docs are here https://github.com/lfzawacki/musical-artifacts/wiki/API-Documentation are the lv2 plugins identified by their URIs? No, but that's something I could add into the data. Currently there aren't many files pertaining l...

Re: [ANN] Musical Artifacts - find presets, configs, sounds

Just passing by to say that I've corrected a few bugs and have slightly updated the site's looks and visual design to make it more browsable. It's also got an atom rss feed now https://musical-artifacts.com/artifacts.atom In the last few days I've added the famous (at least to me) old Guitarix banks...
