Re: Roland GK-3 & Rosegarden
it does handle bends, hard toggle is on the unit (the bundleware is windows only) --------------------------------------------- The i2M editor works in OSX and Windows, but not Linux. But if you have the default setting in the i2M then you can change the settings (mode) easily. Press the button on t...

Re: Roland GK-3 & Rosegarden
Thanks for the tip! (strike GK-3) You must have meant this one: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TriplePlayPU Interesting, but I don't need wirele$$, has anyone seen the same thing with just a usb cable, or at least a midi cable? I can plug midi cables into my Terratec 6Fire and that in turn i...

Roland GK-3 & Rosegarden
I'm thinking of buying this midi pickup to lay midi tracks into rosegarden. Will it do the job? How? I don't understand what the 1/4" jack going into the guitar output connector is for, how does it all work? I have a midi controller keyboard synth with a usb interface, my linux detects it and r...

Re: Any Suse/Rosegarden/MOX8 tutors?
My apologies, I haven't been checking in here, must have missed some emails by the looks of things. I have managed to lay down a one-finger rosegarden midi track from my Mox8 under Suse-13.2. For now that answered the most immediate uncertainty. I'm also taking not-too-frequent guitar and keyboard l...

ID the chords played on a video?
I don't know where else to post this, can anyone with enough experience eyeball the chords this kid is playing? Except for a few simple ones that I can hit most don't sound anything like what I hear or did he video one thing and overlay another audio? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfebqNnvMko tia

Boss-Me80 recording in Audacity
Much like for my TerraTec6Fire-USB external soundcard I have managed to record in Audacity with the Me-80 guitar effects board, by inputting the Rec-Out line into the computer mic connector. I've tried this on one laptop and managed to listen to a backing track I had made in Audacity while recording...

Boss Me-80 presets repo?
anyone know of a web resource where TEXT presets for this effects board can be downloaded from i.e. text files that simply list the settings to duplicate to get the sound? I'm particularly interested in clean sounds with very long sustain and am having trouble getting them. For example I would expec...

Re: Yamaha MM8 or ...
I finally nailed a sale on the MOX8 as newer iron hit the stores and bought it. It's very impressive and for someone who is new to both music and keyboards it's a mouthful. I would have thought that Yamaha would supply an in depth _instruction_ manual with it, I mean I get a 100 page printed book wi...

Re: Any Suse/Rosegarden/MOX8 tutors?
That's interesting but the command line bit is way over my head and no, it's not what I'm looking for. I did download it though and will look at it a few more times because it does uncover areas I'm not familiar with at all, like apparently launching an *.so file? I don't even know what an *.so file...

Re: Tube amps, no aux-in or headset-out!
the VOX head BTW also has an emulation out jack but I haven't tried it yet, doubt if it will let you duplicate a well loaded amp output AND the Vox 212 took much too long in coming so I started looking, and looking, and looking for something else until I decided to make my own that's in the works th...

how 2 find/create a midi/rosegarden/paper bass track?
greets1 I'm using Rosegarden working on my own backing track of Enya's "Watermark" which I want to try on guitar. The original has some very well done bass in it but the only midi I found on the net does not. Nor have I seen any sheet music with a separate bass staff. What it does offer is...

Re: rosegarden midi export and synth plugins in midi client?
Yes I do use jack_capture and then audacity to amplify/edit etc. The problem is that to migrate the music as a midi file to other users is pointless because it ends up sounding like something else. Midi is the #1 format for all I can tell, I mean there's nothing near as useful EXCEPT for this shortf...

rosegarden midi export and synth plugins in midi client?
when I play a rosegarden file making use of the ZynAddSubFX plugins I get close to what I want and can trap the audio nicely with jack_capture. But if I just export to a midi file and load that into Parole it plays back with some oher instruments, being basically unusable. I don't know enough about ...
