Re: Status of WineASIO on AVL-MXE

Hi, WineASIO broke after Wine-Staging 8.2, and I stopped chasing it and it appears nothing further has been done (although I haven't checked recently). If you can get Wine-Staging 8.2 packages (ie from WineHQ) theoretically the WineASIO Packages in AV Linux 21.3 should still work.. Wineasio 1.2.0 w...

Re: Linux ISOs downloaded. What's next?

Hi,

openSUSE-Leap-15.5-DVD-x86_64-Build491.1-Media.iso

Leap is an "Old Stable" flavor. Not so many soft and HW support in there.
I recommend openSUSE Tumbleweed with multimedia:proaudio repository.

Re: stochas not working

Most of such plugins in the proaudio repo doesn't have a Desktop entry. They just compiled as-is (with original filenames) with all possible formats and standalone version.
I think we can gradually add such desktop files when we have a time for that :)

He is one of my Italian friends? I assume he is Italian, because the geekos daw site, has an Italian and english version. :) I don't think so, would be cool though, I would gladly offer him a dinner. :D The other Geekos DAW guys are italians. My home city is in my profile. Currently, I'm in Oregon ...

btw. @Kott The issue with the "main" tag is solved as well now. Nightly builds using now the "Latest" as tag.

Great. Thank You.

Re: Guitarix.vst v0.1 released

a little off-topic, you have now two ambiguous references "main", the tag and the branch name I think it's better to delete "main" tag. The main tag is needed for the so called "nightly builds". It get deleted and recreated on every push to the repository. That allow t...

Re: Reaper and top Linux samplers as plugins: how to even set up?

I use Geekos DAW, a repository for OpenSuse which allows me download a huge amount of great plugins and other audio software through the package manager, I don't need to go on any internet adventures. That's the wonderful reality that Kott is contributing to. Our repo (GDAW) web page requires impro...

It was a response to your rant. No one owes you anything here. So the smiley was fake and it really was passive-aggressive. Thanks for confirming. Passive, aggressive, whatever, but it's an answer to you - if you're unsatisfied - improve it. I'm aware enough of "the Linux music production ecos...

Re: Reaper and top Linux samplers as plugins: how to even set up?

I don't get why documentation is so bad with Linux audio stuff. Maybe you didn't wrote it? :) You're putting the cart before the horse. If I knew enough to write a manual myself, why would I ask for a manual? I hear this argument often and it never makes sense. It was a response to your rant. No on...

I don't get why documentation is so bad with Linux audio stuff. Maybe you didn't wrote it? :) 1) Sfizz: Only thing I got actually working. First of all, the DEB installer puts the SO files in "/usr/lib/lv2/sfizz.lv2/Contents/Binary", not ".lv2". I copy the SO files in ".lv2...
