KXStudio external repositories have disappeared?
I've been trying to install WineASIO and various other bits and pieces from the KXStudio external repositories. If resources are the worry, you could try setting the latency really high (you're not needing realtime feedback while you record, so that should be fine). I've had ardour 3 crash on me several times, but every time was in response to an action (copy/pasting notes, adding filters, etc), and never spo...

I put this into the wiki as well, but thought I'd mention it here: I discovered yesterday that Guitarix doesn't like frames/period values that are not powers of two. If you have periods=2 and are trying a weird value of frames/period (like 48) to get your latency to be an integral number of millisec...
