Does kxstudio meta wine install wine real time?

Just wondering if kxstudio wine installs wine real time or should I install wine real time as a standalone and wine asio and stuff after that or can I install both? Just installed ubuntu 16.04 and things are different to say the least. Installing packages well.......... is not the same. I think I am...

terminal problems installing stuff dpkg interrupted/ installing wine rt

Every time I go to install something I get E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. Am I just typing in the command line wrong? I am trying to install wine rt right now I would like to try reaper so any install advice would help. This is a new...

Recorded this on kxstudio using ardour. Didn't use any pluggins everything was otb. Wrote the song, played all the instruments, and did the singing too.

Re: Video Editors

Seemed like josh the person who wrote and maintains open shot stopped working and updating it right after he got about $40,000 from crowd funding for a 2.0 release. It's a shame openshot was awesome. Hope he resolves his issues and gets back to it. I was a great program until then. I personally star...

A couple things.

I haven't been on the forum in a while because I built a new computer and dual boot and do all my music stuff on one partition and all my tinkering and messing around on a normal ubuntu release. So on my kxstudio partition I disabled all updates to the best of my ability and haven't installed any of...

Re: Alternate KXStudio themes

Just google KDE themes. There are probably a ton of cool looking ones. I personally run unity but falktx likes kde and I think the kde theme he uses is what he thinks represents his distrobution the best i don't think that's going to change. I like lighter themes because I have the same problem I ca...

Re: 14 lowlatency kernal/14.04 repository install documentat

Much appreciated. I've never done any code for anyone else before so Sign up for gethub and work my way through how things are done and I'll do my best to follow the format of the code all ready there and try to make it look basically the same and as clean as possible. I'll do my best to get that do...

Re: Reinstalling kx studio ububtu 12.04 or 14.04?

 I seem to be approaching this ass-backwards. The audio applications I'm now most-comfortable with, and the sound hardware I'm driving (a pair of Edirol DA2496s), needed an -RT kernel (plus patching to support the wordclock sync jumper between the two cards). At the time I got the system, ...

Re: Linux music as a major player...

Linux audio would need two things. A big name using it. I think the tools linux audio has are better than windows and mac and generally run much better. We have great soft synths aurdour and non time line are both great programs. A bit more stability would be a must. I know programing is hard and de...
