Re: new soundcloud subproject

Heck yes! That is pretty cool! Whay controller are you using for MIXXX? used numark mixtrack, akai mpd18 and korg nanopad for this one. numark mixtrack was mapped normally. mpd18 was mapped to the beat-loops while the nanopad was mapped to hotcues. Used mpd18 to loop certain beats on different meas...

Re: First Renoise Track (via APC20)

Very cool. Can you tell us how you've got it set up? I've been wanting to add to my live performance gear. Hi dednikko, i've installed renoise, hooked my apc20, downloaded and installed duplex http://www.renoise.com/tools/duplex (dragged the duplex xrnx file to the renoise window). The tool may the...

Re: 8th (white noises in your head)

just posted a new one just few minutes ago, although the track isn't really dubstep, i heavily used Autostatic's dubstep bass zynAddSubFx instrument (a bit tweaked) for the base framework.. for the "unstable" wobbles, I used amSynths dirty pulsating bass (a bit tweaked as well) with the &q...

Re: new soundcloud subproject

..and this is one of the tracks' a bit alternate version performed live :), my minimal ghetto setup.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nZx9jTLUuI being able to map 1/16, 1/8, 1/2, 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16 beatloops came in pretty handy, [un]fortunately i had to upgrade to beta to get the feature as the lat...

addendum..

things to double check

0.) That you have started jackd via qjackctl by clicking "Start"
1.) Verify that "qjackctl -> setup -> interface" is currently set to the soundcard you intend to use

Re: which usb audio interface?

Re: 8th (white noises in your head)

Then you should better try schismtracker (look for package schism) which is a perfect impulse tracker clone running on linux with either pulse or alsa over SDL. It can be hard to get the interface at first but if you give it some time it becomes apparent that it is a very efficient and comfortable ...

Cheers! hi Excds, i don't follow a certain process, but heres what I have been doing so far Beats/Glitches: i commonly sequence them using hydrogen, and export the drumtrack directly off it as wa...
