Re: What about an editorial?

Tribal? Hmm, this is beginning to sound very interesting...

Did ya empty those wheelbarrows yet? ;-)

Re: Vocoder Texture (YouTube)

So that's Kluppe :-) Thanks for the eye-opening demo of some very interesting software, Louigi. I've been meaning to try out Rackarack for a while - now you've given me the impetus to mess with vocoding again... Meanwhile back to listening yet again to The Tribe - perhaps in slightly different light...

Re: Hello from Spain

Spot on Pablo :D Hey, I take your point and will ensure all spoken and sung words have a lyrics transcript from now on. It's just an accident of history that we're not all talking Spanish/Portuguese/Latin/Mandarin - not sure about Donasti, though - it's almost as 'obscure' as my parents Gaelic, sadl...

Re: find original tempo of a loop

HI,

This is a feature I am always looking for - the original Cubase on the AtariST also had tempo matching for MIDI input, which would be really neat on Linux...

I think Rui Nuno Capela of Qtractor fame is also thinking about this issue:-

Re: I'm lovin' it*

Old road-dog from the 70's here. You too, huh? Remember Deep Purple? I still remember the weight of their gear, for sure! It's good to have time to fool around in our dotage, isn't it? ;-) As for Linux music hints and tips, there seems to be loads of info here and also over on the more active Ubunt...

Re: Some electronica...

LOL - yeah, life 'out-on-the-fringe' used to be lonely - not any more ;-) Once I've got this raucous political stuff out of my system, I too will get back to the delightful obscurity of chill out and ambience. ps: If anyone who can tolerate my noise is wondering whether I can actually play or not, t...

Re: Radiogram

Wow! The shifted looping in 'Parallel Streams' is just so compelling. Do you have any objection to people doing a remix? One of my most elusive ambitions has always been the never ending ending, mantric loops for eternity...

Yeah, right ;-)

Thanks for sharing, Louigi - my kind of 'music'

Re: Hello from Spain

Hi guys ;-) I can see why you might call the Linux musician fraternity 'small' but I also wonder just how many more are out there feeling the freedom so much they don't have time to go online...(except to get their systems working ;-) @ pablo I've never been to San Sebastian but I have friends from ...

Some electronica...

Following up on my 'hello World' post above, http://soundcloud.com/bass-akwardz/ points to some stuff I've done recently using UbuntuStudio Karmic Koala. I better make it clear before/if you listen, though, that my trend at present is 'electro-satire' and some of the messages in the trax might be co...

Hello from Spain

Hi, I was recently pointed to this forum by the excellent AutoStatic. Without guidance from him and many other very helpful posters over on the UbuntuStudio sub-forum, I would never have taken the plunge into Linux music. I'm really grateful to the whole FLOSS community for creating such an amazing ...
