Re: VST3 support in Linux?

hi all,

as of today, native Linux VST3 plug-in support has landed to yours truly qtractor master branch (>= 0.9.12.24git.b4e970) ..
of course, it's still experimental stuff but already fully-functional and on par with ALL other plug-in types on GNU/Linux.

Re: QSampler standalone, no "JACK" option

looks like that it's linuxsampler that was built without JACK support.

qsampler as client only shows the drivers that linuxsampler server provides. no more, no less.

Re: midi browser

qtractor can do that alright, eg. browsing in View > Windows > File System and double-click to play, provided you insert or connect a multi-timbral plugin or instrument on the MIDI Master Out bus... it can play both audio pcm sample files (.wav, .ogg, .mp3, .flac, etc.) and/or standard MIDI files (S...

Re: [ANN] Qtractor 0.9.12 - The QStuff* Winter'19 Release batch #3

Hello, I tried the appimage version and well as repo version in Linux Mint 19.3. It doesn't output any sound at all. I can see the output in the mixer, LED is activated, i cant hear the sound. I am not using any audio interace, just my laptop speaker. actually it depends to what soundcard/device in...

[ANN] Qtractor 0.9.12 - The QStuff* Winter'19 Release batch #3

Greetings, just one last time! Qtractor 0.9.12 ( winter'19 ) is released! The change-log is rather short but nevertheless: - Basic key-signature has been added to tempo, time-signature and location markers map. - MIDI Clip editor (aka. piano-roll) horizontal and vertical splitter sizes, widths and h...

Re: Virtual Midi Port/Cable

you seem to have some client that managed to auto(magically)started jackd ... and it also seems that it's still up and running... otherwise that "jackd -T .." would be long gone... anyway... try this: 1. killall -9 jackd 2. run qjackctl, go to Setup > Misc: turn off "Save JACK audio s...

[ANN] Vee One Suite 0.9.12 - The QStuff* Winter'19 Release batch #2

Greetings, one second time! The Vee One Suite of so called old-school software instruments, synthv1 , as a polyphonic subtractive synthesizer, samplv1 , a polyphonic sampler synthesizer, drumkv1 as yet another drum-kit sampler and padthv1 as a polyphonic additive synthesizer, are all here and now re...

Re: Virtual Midi Port/Cable

care to show your QjackCtl Messages output right after you start the JACK server?

remember that the startup/shutdown scripts you set on QjackCtl > Setup > Options > Scripting are only meaningful iif you start the JACK server via QjackCtl on its own premises.

pardon me, but the correct and official spelling is samplv1 and drumkv1 resp. half of the vee-one-suite.

ps. do not ever confuse the "v1" suffix with "version-one" ;)

Re: Geekos DAW (libre music-making repository for openSUSE)

Fantastic initiative! Another loyal openSUSE user and casual music producer here, looking forward to trying your repo (on Leap, since Tumbleweed sort of lost my confidence after they broke Jack a few months back). (open)suse has never let me down for a quarter-a-century already--and believe me, i'v...

Re: [ANN] Qtractor 0.9.11 - The Mauerfall'30 Release

Quick question, how do I fan out plugins with multi channels like DrumGizmo into individual tracks for each instrument of the drumkits when recording the midi drum track to .wav? you create a new audio output bus with as many channels as the DG; on the MIDI track (or bus) where the DG is inserted, ...

[ANN] Qtractor 0.9.11 - The Mauerfall'30 Release
