Re: muse for windows

Ah, I see, completely misread it then. Will try to give it a go during the weekend.

Re: muse for windows

Hi aquilarubra, Nice to hear from you, though sorry to hear about your family issues. Thanks for the instructions. Is it all built through cross compiling? It seems a lot of if requires Arch, as I don't use it do you have some pointers on what needs to be adapted to build on other distros? What abou...

Re: drums in syntesized midi

That ardour tutorial is something else man, I wish everyone who does tutorials would watch it. I mean the net is full of people working in their mother tongue but having no clue about diction/pronunciation while hissing and sucking their teeth in the mic. But here you are in what I think is not you...

Re: MESS Fluidsynth - multiple sf2's

I think you have it correct but I can't check right now so might be some new bug that has crept in. A work around is to load an instance of the fluidsynth for each soundfont. In reality this is the way I would do it anyway because the added overhead of using separate instances is very little and it ...

Re: New song made with MusE

This is awesome! Nothing like a bit of Synth Rammstein to bring out the Christmas spirit :D Seriously though, this was great! Hi all, MusE performed beautifully!!! The song is a bit simple, but I am so amazed that I am able to produce these kinds of sounds using 100% open source. That is also great ...

Re: Calf Instruments in MusE3

Was a while since this question so maybe not relevant any longer. A tip is to try the MusE specific sub forum. Anyway, if the synths are really installed I would check the search paths in the configuration so MusE really looks where the synths are installed. If they are default installed it's probab...

MusE 3.1pre4

== MusE 3.1pre4 release December 11, 2019 == Getting real close to the real 3.1! (or will it be 4.0, who knows?) Some unordered highlights in this release are: * Customizable size of icons and custom tool cursors * Many many new vectorized icons * German translation updated * FIXED: Mixer strips mis...

Re: Helm not saving presets

There was a fix in MusE that affects Helm a few days after pre3 was released. From the ChangeLog: LV2: Fix sequencing/syncing plugins (Helm, LV2 metronome, NoiseMak3r...) (Tim) Don't know if it is related, might want to try master though. Or wait a few days as I was thinking to make a pre4 release s...

Re: MusE 3.1pre3

Hi saturning51, This is in relation to this bug, right? https://github.com/muse-sequencer/muse/issues/680 First off, are you testing on 3.1pre3? The fixes were done after it was released so you need to test the fixes on the master. Also there was an additional problem with some keyboard keys that di...

Re: Two songs made with Muse -

Thank you for sharing your work and transition to MusE! That's awesome! I'm weak for this kind of moody Thorsten Flinck-esque ballads! Didn't digest the lyrics but I get the general idea ;) Now, you didn't ask for critique but the drums on Täcken av is sticks out a little bit, if I would change some...

Re: [For coders / stylesheet authors] Introducing the Snooper

Committed my changes now. I could not find any ill effects (famous last words), do report if it's infact causing some side effect. PgUp PgDown fixed by the overridden QMdiArea and fixed the Return event being eaten in the PartCanvas key event handler. Also I fixed a bug in the Drum editor when it wa...

Hah, missed your message again, basically just parroted what you already found...

I doubt the above though. But I have my overridden solution and will test for this.

Re: [For coders / stylesheet authors] Introducing the Snooper

Went one step deeper and looked at the qt sources as you suggested. QMidArea inherits from QAbstractScrollArea and there the culprit can be observed: https://code.woboq.org/qt5/qtbase/src/widgets/widgets/qabstractscrollarea.cpp.html In "void QAbstractScrollArea::keyPressEvent(QKeyEvent * e)&quo...
