Re: AV Linux 2020.1.14 Release Candidate for testing only

Hi Glenn, I tried to install manually using the "gksu gdebi-gtk" command but doesn't matter what package I try to install, I always get the same errors: " dpkg: Warning: 'ldconfig' not found in PATH or not executable dpkg: Warning: 'start-stop-daemon' not found in PATH or not executa...

Dear Glenn, I´ve tested and I have to say, this is the best AVLinux ever! I didn´t have any problems whatsoever installing it, everything went smoothly and the system is super fast now! Big thumps up for both you and Trulan! God you guys make true wonders with this OS. Love it! I wasn´t able to use...

Hi Gennaro,

Thank you for taking time to test! Haha the wallpaper is not a big priority but I may look into it later before the next release.

Re: AV Linux 2019.4.10 Released!

I will try and post the updated package to the packages archive tonight Thanks, if possible you could make a minor update to the package and move template file linvst.so out of the /usr/local/lib/vst folder. When the host program (Carla in my case) scan that directory a warning message appears comp...

Re: My New Guitar: Ibanez AM53

As far as high end etc... I'm more informed about Fender than other brands and I know that the plant in Mexico is a finishing and assembly plant, from what I've heard the body parts come in from Fender in the US and are painted, finished, wired and assembled in Mexico in a state of the art modern pl...

Hi varpa, Nice to speak with you again! :D I will look into the ZynAdd issue, those packages have their origin from the KX repos so I wonder if anyone else running the KX ZynAdd packages on Debian buster is seeing the same issues..? As far as UEFI I don't know what the magic formula for all computer...

Re: AV Linux 2019.4.10 Released!

FOA, thank You for your work! I would like to ask if there is an online package repository available for downloads. I accidentally disinstalled a package (linvst 2.4.2) to try a newer version (ver. 2.8 from github - osxmidi). But now I cannot revert back to the original package. I found an older ve...

Re: My New Guitar: Ibanez AM53

Hi,

That's a beauty! Those humbuckers have a nice tone, nice definition even when fingerpicked! Will we be hearing any John Scofield licks? Just Kidding, look forward to hearing it recorded in some new songs!

Re: Bitwig 16 Track

@ufug, @jonetsu, @Openmastering I would have to say my main attraction would be MIDI programming stuff to import into Ardour and Mixbus as has been said by @jonetsu for final finishing and mastering, I simply do not like Ardour MIDI and have a lot of problems with recording MIDI parts in Ardour, sav...

Bitwig 16 Track

Hi, Didn't know if this has been posted: https://www.bitwig.com/en/16-track.html $99 USD/EUR... I've been "Wig curious" for a few years but I'm a live band guy not really a EDM/Techno guy (although I do very much enjoy the genre) so this seemed like a decent compromise to learn the ropes.....

Re: jam300

Hi jonetsu! Love the groove and the glue between that warm synth bass and that big kick drum, really good mix in general and especially in the low end! Also like the 'cold' evolving pads. I'd like to hear a bit more variation in the rhythm track maybe some drum fills or even percussion shots and I w...

Re: 2019 Milestone recording

Hi,

This great! Seamless composition! I do have to admit in my head the main synth melody at the beginning with the right drums would make a killer Eurodisco dance tune! :D

Re: Daydreaming Waltz (classical)

Wow!

This sounds really good, what an ambitious arrangement!? To me if it had some period appropriate settings with the Calf Vinyl plugin it would sound like a very legit Classical recording on a 78RPM record from 100 years ago..
