Re: Update has killed my work flow.....

So I have managed to get things running quite smoothly. That err I mention before disappeared after I installed Fluxbox. What a difference. So now I just use gnome for regular desktop usage and flux for audio. I was testing it out last night with my bass plugged into my focusrite>jackrack with 3 FX ...

Re: Update has killed my work flow.....

Right on, I managed to take care of the NT:err. But the second one you mention was what I was more concerned with. If it doesn't affect recording and/or playback than I am fine with that. Thanks again for all your help Auto.

Re: Update has killed my work flow.....

Would it be easier to just reinstall because everything I am trying will not allow me to avoid jack2?

Re: Update has killed my work flow.....

I still can't find it. This is weird. I remember doing an apt-get update, could this be the reason why I don't see it?

Re: Update has killed my work flow.....

Hello, check the directory /var/cache/apt/archives , that's where every single package resides that you have ever installed with a packagemanager (unless you did a apt-get clean in the past). Otherwise you can install Jack1 from the standard repo's and FFADO from my FFADO repo , you have a recent F...

Re: Update has killed my work flow.....

Right on Auto,
so I removed all that had to do with Jack2 and FFADO 2.0.1, however I don't see where the old packages are. Is there a specific repo I need to go through? Sorry for the noob questions, your help has been greatly appreciated thus far.

Update has killed my work flow.....

Hello good people, so I had everything going well with very few Xruns, when in my late night/early morning delirium I agreed to an update. Since the update Jack will not connect. 13:11:48.646 Patchbay deactivated. 13:11:48.756 Statistics reset. Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or d...

Re: agere systems fw322/323......

Hey auto, so after I rebuilt the system and installed your patch everything is working fine, actually a little better than before. However, I happen to do this right after the repos got updated to FFADO 2.0.1 I think. So once again I can't use ffado-tools unless I downgrade, which I honestly don't k...

Re: agere systems fw322/323......

Hey Auto, I compiled it from source. I still have the version mismatch but the firmware upgrade definitely made the difference. Now that I have this procedure down I am gonna give another test run with your patch and see how that works with the firmware upgrade. The funny thing is that the Sapphire ...

Re: agere systems fw322/323......

Firmware update did the trick. Dice chipset seems to be working well now. Everything is looking good so far. I will post some of the diagnostic info shortly.

Re: agere systems fw322/323......

Not yet. I have to go to see a friend that has a windows pc because I don't have windows installed on my pc. So I can't upgrade my firmware until later tonight, go figure. As soon as I do though I will post back my results.

Re: agere systems fw322/323......

Hey auto, I have pretty much hit a wall here with this, very frustrating because I know I am so close  . Anyway, you said something that caught my attention and I was hoping that you could elaborate.... This is one of the reasons why I really prefer installing debs ;) Now I had done the instal...
