I tried a lot of setting in Jedit and in LilypondTool, but I still don't get any improvement. I can't make get the "| # ~...". All work in every other program. I go on searching...

I will have a look at Lilykde. What do you prefer and why?

Hi, I'm beginning to learn Lilypond, using Jedit and LilypondTool - following in that a suggestion of by studio32. I'm pretty glad with the program(s). Here is my question: Where is the "pipe" (|) in Jedit? The characters table is UTF-8. In other programs it is "Alt Gr + 6". It a...

I have a good friend who works with Lilypond, but he is not a musician. I think he got the vision to do something like what your suggest.
In the meantime, I downloaded the PDF manual of GNU Lilypond and I will look at it. Is it possible to work with Lilypond and to see the result on a score?

Hi Studio 32, Thanks for your encouragement about my English. The idea of learning Lilypond goes through my mind almost every time I look for answers about music programs on the Net.
