Ardour: How do I get started with plug ins?
Hi, I am an intermediate guitarist with aspirations.
I have ardour on my tower and I have a monoprice USB Mixer.
I'm starting to understand Ardour, but I haven't tried plug ins, how and where do I get started? What do you suggest?

Rakarrack: Anything else like it?
Other than what is in DAW's, are there any stand alone Effects programs that will work in Debian Fork OSs (I use Mint). I love Rakarrack but worry that it is no longer supported (?) or will stop working one day... As far as DAW plugins, using Adour, what plug ins would I want to try for the same pur...

Searching for 2 channel USB Audio Interfaces
What VERY AFFORDABLE USB Audio Interfaces are there that I can use in a Debian/Mint system? I have to give back the Behringer UMC 204HD to my brother in law, we need something cheap like it that we can get for me.

Super Cheap way of doing this?
Right now I am borrowing a Behringer USB Sound card and an old Radio Shack Mixer, but I'm not the owner of them.
Is there a super super affordable solution to mix and inject via USB into my computer tower?

Other than Rakarrack and Guitarx?
I want to learn how to sing. I also want to improve my guitar playing and recording. I have been trying Rakarrack and plan on trying Guitarx once I figure it out. What voice training, music training, and what effects/modulation/cabinet/amp softwares are there out there and is the a site that has a m...

what are some recommended plugins for Ardour and Guitar?
I'm just starting out and I don't know anything about the plug ins for Ardour, what is there out there, what kind of things can I do with it. I play guitar and would even like to use keys and voice and effects. I'm not in a rush because I have a handful just learning Ardour right now. I don't even k...

Re: How to get Ardour to work with my rig?
Ok, got it sort of figured out. I can port the audio running in my computer so I can play with whatever song is on Spotify or whatever. I'm not using this to pirate music, that is wrong, I just want to practice to songs that come on and record my advancement, like in the old days to records.

Re: How to get Ardour to work with my rig?
Yes, that is what I need and intend to do. Instead of pecking around for seeds, go right to the feedbox. I'm just impatient to start doing stuff, I wasn't prepared to spend this much time in it until now. I've been impatent to use it.

QJackCTL, what are readable and writeable clients?
I see tutorials and threads about connecting up with QJackCTL, but nowhere do I see it addressed in a way I understand, just what a readable or a writeable client is, I don't understand what in and out are, I can't decipher.

Re: How to get Ardour to work with my rig?
what I don't understand is what are "readable" and "Writeable" clients, that is the main confusion I have. I'm reading tutorials and maybe I'm dense, but I don't get it.
