DO NOT GIVE UP On PeaceTime CoExistence & Music-Making

Geez, OK. well, uh, um... Early this morning, while I was sleeping away from home, somebody stole part of my travel bag. And I'm not sure if they did something to me when it happened, because I was sleeping right next to my bag. But when I woke up, I had a HUGE headache that lasted almost all...

Re: Quick(?) Linux DAW Bloatware Removal (MX Linux, AntiX, Debian, Ubuntu)

While I'm not apt to nitpick (no pun intended), the main post is provided for those who may not yet have the option to simply switch to another distro. However, I do agree, it is better to resolve it at that level. However distros can differ a lot, and culturally and in terms of preferred compatible...

Quick(?) Linux DAW Bloatware Removal (MX Linux, AntiX, Debian, Ubuntu)

QUICK(?) LINUX DIGITAL AUDIO WORKSTATION BLOATWARE REMOVAL (MX Linux/Debian/Ubuntu/AntiX) OK, so these days MX Linux is topping out some of the noticed distrowatch.org charts, even though by other stats it's most definately NOT the most useful nor desireable distro. Nevertheless, I've used it enough...

very emotional danceable cinematic stuff

Lately i'm really feeling the band "Hybrid". There are some wonderous tunes with impressive videos too(!) on vimeo.com ... use the search function for "Hybrid" and then use the drop-down menu ("more") to select "music" so you don't get a bunch of false positiv...

yeah, i believe the guy

He might not want to disable hyperthreading. However, sometimes it's tied to ACPI (APCI?) anyways power-related stuff so it can't be done independently. Also, these days, power components of laptops have miniature computer-like parts inside of them and can be hacked from the AC outlets which can als...

Re: GNU/Linux Debian installing >> Linux Audio Workstation LAW

Thanks for this!!!

I still use some of these older advices.
They tend to have some reliable chunks mixed in with the other parts.
The reliable parts tend to be very worth it.

Take care.

A nice way to get some OLD 32-bit VST plugins

Hey guys, I'm kind of happy about this. I've been searching for some old plugins that I've liked for many years. One of them which is usually impossible to find is the demo of PsyBOX. The site owner went missing  and then the site got grabbed by some other country. Anyways, you can use the &q...

Jesus Christ, what are you doing?? This sounds all so exciting. Are you a whistleblower or something? Abducted by Aliens?? : hehe, well. several years of abusers would say that i have an overactive imagination. and that is actually true, but it's from being overstimulated by wierdness for t...

Re: Active projects?

I'm not ^yet^ active, but I met some folks who where throwing away STACKS of used ChromeBooks a few months ago. They were re-selling a lot of other computer parts and systems, yet for ChromeBooks and similar, they weren't budgeting any time to learn how to refurbish them. It took me about 45 minute...

Re: Drawbacks of installing Ubuntu Studio 18.04?

I am still finding (over the past several increasing months/years) that it's good to choose the most minimal yet functional active and supported distro you can find (in your language). Make sure it's compatible with your system in terms of hardware and then implement the download. After that, instal...

but wait, there's more!

Hi, i came back. ...to make music, and with Linux. During recent years, I've been assaulted, drugged (I HATE DRUGS!!), raped, abducted, witnessed a drive-by shooting from a few yards away, had my boots, transformers autobot sweatshirt, FBI business card (from a helpful person), checkbook, and possib...
