Re: all audio signals to jack

Thank you so much - it's working now. I didn't turn of both cards. this is my post startup script: pactl set-card-profile alsa_card.pci-0000_00_1b.0 off && pactl set-card-profile alsa_card.usb-Burr-Brown_from_TI_USB_Audio_CODEC-00 off && pactl load-module module-jack-sink and my post...

Re: lets talk about apple mac

Garageband was not preinstalled - I had to install it. After install its plug and play. No worries about jack and its configuration, no need to install any guitar-amp, drum plugin or low-latency kernel. And the latency was by default at least as good as I am able to do it on my debian system. The ot...

lets talk about apple mac

I know, this topic is dangerous within linux-communities. Please don't hate me too much :) I'm a confident linux (former windows) user for more than 10 years. Until I started with recording/audio production I was happy with linux. But since I started, I'm getting bugged of linux. It took me hours, d...

Re: all audio signals to jack

my JACK post-start script uses this command: pactl set-card-profile alsa_card.pci-0000_04_06.0 off and this for when JACK stopped: pactl set-card-profile alsa_card.pci-0000_04_06.0 output:analog-stereo I put the same lines to my jack configuration (of course changed to my soundcard: alsa_card.pci-0...

Re: all audio signals to jack

Hmkay, that's not the solution I was searching for.

I want all audio go trough the internal soundcard (without jack) and all going trough the external one when jack is started.
Is there a way to realize that?

Re: all audio signals to jack

@bluebell: I did that http://marzen.de/Holger/pulseaudio_and_jack/
Now my audio doesn't work at all. no sound on internal, no sound on external sound card - also after quitting jack :(

all audio signals to jack

After starting jack and ardour, the sound from ardour goes to my external sound card, but all the other sounds go to the internal. That's very annoying while watching youtube tutorials at the same time as using ardour. This seems to be a solution for that problem: https://askubuntu.com/questions/572...

Re: Ardour: MTPowerDrumKit2

That worked, thanks.

The plugin cannot be loaded from within ardour.
I added the Carla-RackFX and loaded the MT-PowerDrumKit from there:

Fine, but how can I access the user interface shown in this video?

I have downloaded MTPowerDrumKit2 https://www.powerdrumkit.com/download-file.php?v=MTPDK-2.0.9-VST-64bit-for-Linux-Wine-FULL&ver=2.0.9 and put the files MT-PowerDrumKit.dll and MT-PowerDrumKit-DE-Content.pdk to the folder /usr/lib/vst/ The manual refers to: https://appuals.com/how-to-use-windows...

Chord progression and melody plugin

I'm looking for a plugin to write chord progressions and melodies like this:
https://mixedinkey.com/captain-plugins/captain-chords/
or this:

What about all the other ardour users? Don't you have that issue?
