Building samplecat-git from AUR
Hello Recently I wanted to try out Samplecat sample browser, which, thanks to milk, is available for arch users via AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/samplecat-git/ Unfortunately building process gives me this error. I'm not the only one, as another user of Ardour forum has identical problem: ...

Re: Maping Midi CC events to Calf plugins
Sure. But it only works with plugin generic control gui (right click on plugin and 'edit with generic controls'). Alternatively click Automation button in track header -> Processor automation ->select plugin->select parameter and ctrl+middle on automation fader.

Re: Ubuntustudio 19.04 Jack Gui with new functionality
Hmm. Would appear that I've missed a dependency in the PKGBUILD. I'm not sure what Arch package provides the python module 'jack' though. Installing https://www.archlinux.org/packages/community/any/python-jack-client/ did the trick, so I guess this might be the missing dependency. BTW thank you for...

Re: Ubuntustudio 19.04 Jack Gui with new functionality
For any Arch users who wish to try, I just quickly created ubuntustudio-controls-git . Thank you for this. I'd love to try it. Installation went smooth but when I try to run it, I've got this error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/ubuntustudio-controls", line 19, in <mod...

aj-snapshots - using wildcards in port names
Hi I'm trying to make some persistent jack connections with aj-snapshot. It works nice but I want to use wildcards when specifying connection port name. Is it possible? If so can you please help me with syntax? For example here I would like to replace 'foobar' with * connection port="ardour:foo...

Re: Seq64 midi connections
Thank you for the answer. I think I'm doing precisely that. 1. Jack and qjackctl starts with xfce session. 2. I open sequencer64 and it autoconnects to every jack client present at the moment. Like this: 3.png 3. Then I open Zyn, but no connections are made. Sequencer64 doesn't see Zyn. 1.png If Zyn...

Seq64 midi connections
Hello, New seq64 user here. Great sequencer, I have loads of fun with it, "thank you" to all involved in the project. I have some question though. Is this normal that seq64 isn't aware of any jack clients that were started after it? Basically if I start seq64 and THEN zyn-fusion for exampl...
