[LV2? We will consider to offer LV2 support in the future, however not in version 1.0." Yeah, they are releasing version 3.1 and still nothing ahah Maybe even Bitwig could release their own (*cough*Arch/Manjaro-derived*cough*) Linux distro with the free demo working with other pro-audio and lv...

Re: change qjackctl connection style on manjaro
Well, I just found that there is a setting to change between the visualization styles. For some reason I didn't see it until now but it means that this post was totally unnecessary. I'm sorry

Re: ableton
Bitwig is $$ but there is a free 8 track version out there somewhere. I got very excited and downloaded it but doesn't let me activate it, presumably because I don't have a serial. I think this is (at least now) like Live Lite that you get free when you buy a midi keyboard or soundcard. Bitwig Stud...

change qjackctl connection style on manjaro
Is there a way to change the way qjackctl shows the jack connections without having to compile it myself? Right now I got something similar to patchage but i prefer the old way of showing, with the two column with all the devices etc.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: help me reduce latency
Hi every one and thank you for your answers. I kinda of solve it, I had to change some parameter in the advanced section of qjackctl. this page https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToJACKConfiguration was indeed very helpful, but I had to adapt it to my situation. Btw, what is your reported latency ...

Re: help me reduce latency
Thank you all for replying. I tried your suggestions with no luck. I've noticed that I experience xrun only when the cpu hits the 35% load. I reach that cpu load only if I'm using windows vst or plugins like TyrrelN6.
I think it may be a cpu limitation, does it make sense?

help me reduce latency
Hi. I'm on a laptop with i5-4200U, 8GB of ram and the steinberg ur22mkii audio interface. If I set jack to sample rate 48000, frames/period 512 and periods/buffer 2 I have no xruns and I can play whatever I want. But with this settings the latency is unacceptable while playing with software instrume...

What does the audio interface do?
On windows "they" said you need an audio interface for the low latency drivers etc, but on linux do you really need an audio interface? What actually does it do?

hello everyone!
Hi, classical semi-trained pianist here. I'm migrating from ableton live because I was seduced by the power of jack, my main interests are live gigs and producing some of my own music. I'm not really new to linux but I was - and I am - only a light user. Now I'm on Ubuntu Studio 18.10 and Ardour.
