Re: Anyone using an Audient iD interface?
Sorry for the multitude of replies. Thinking it through further, wondering if it wouldn't be most effective to simply route the Audient into the mixer and then have the mixer output directly to the monitors. Not crazy about introducing the mixer into the audio signal path at all times, but it seems ...

Re: Anyone using an Audient iD interface?
In rereading your reply, yes, it sounds like hardware monitoring is exactly what I'm looking for. Are you familiar with any interfaces that can provide this function for us lowly Linux users? Or, is there any way to integrate the Audient with a Linux software mixer to replicate the same function? Re...

Re: Anyone using an Audient iD interface?
Thanks for the replies. I'm not using the front D.I. input at at all. The back has two inputs and two outputs. I'm sending the two outputs to my studio monitors and use the interface as my sound card with my computer without issue. However, literally all I want to do is plug in the XLR outs from my ...

Anyone using an Audient iD interface?
I purchased a Audient iD14 to be my primary interface for my PC running Xubuntu 19.04. It works well enough. However, I tried plugging an external analog mixer into the inputs on the back and then plugging a hardware synth into the mixer. No sound is being output. I can verify that the mixer is bein...

Re: Manjaro?
Just tried it for the last day or two and wrote about it on my blog over at https://wolfgang.lonien.de/2019/01/i-had-a-short-look-at/ Very positive first impression, could easily get used to it if I didn't have a great working Debian/KXStudio machine already. Cheers, Wolfgang Just read your blog po...

Manjaro?
Have been using Kubuntu for a while, but strongly considering switching over to Manjaro because it seems like my ideal distro in so many ways. Anyone hear use it? Would it be any less ideal for music software than Ubuntu or other options? I'd like to install Reaper, Bitwig, Pianoteq, u-he plugins - ...

Re: Keep My Audio Interface or...
Thanks very much for the info! I'm wary about going with an internal card, however, and prefer to stick with an external standalone interface, if at all possible.

Keep My Audio Interface or...
Hi, all. New member here. Sorry to clutter the forum with yet another thread asking for an audio interface recommendation, but not sure where else to turn to and Google isn't exactly overflowing with insight about Linux music hardware, unfortunately. I'm a lifelong Windows user who has just recently...
