Re: Ardour headache

There's a possibility you entered some MIDI notes that are not existing in the playable map of RedZed kit, for that WtheLevee song you'll essentially need these notes: 36 Kick 38 SnareCenter 42 CHH 57 Crash2 First check the you have some of these which should produce some sort of sound ;) Besides yo...

Re: DrumGizmo 0.9.20 Released!

While we’re at it, has development halted? I’m seen very little progress since Covid. I have been unable to use the program because of the lack of hidpi support for linux. I’m just curious… 🙂 The bigger the cushion the longer the waitin', though you may like to hope for next release for HiDPI ;) ht...

Downloading presets and license keys can be done with a browser. A plugin doesn't have to phone home.

"But ... but ... but it's so convenient!"
Yeah. Sure.

Who are you arguing with?

With the remote keg?

Re: keychanges in pop songs

The problem is why they are all major chords

Not a big problem, that's just all the minors were busy on chores since they came back late intoxicated by diatonics' abuse

Re: kernel 6.6

Since the OT is open that'll be the perfect time to suggest to people dearing/needing to use sudo to use /OpenDoas/ instead of /sudo/
(for many reasons|pulsions that are on offtopicerest magnitude there) ;)

Re: Math(s)!

Sure you can, and you could since it was posted a few posts above, shift 3, here you are in simple bash (as an example but really use whatever you prefer): echo $((60000>>3)) Um, ok, I did what you said and have no idea how it worked. As someone who doesn't even know what it means to shift bits, it...

May I kindly request you to perform the computations using the binary numeral system? This platform primarily serves as a forum dedicated to discussions related to Linux operating systems. Ok, I'll see what I can do. Prediction: I can't do that. Sure you can, and you could since it was posted...

Re: bass soundfonts and drum machine

Thank you all for the lot of stuff you suggested! <3 Let me just ask you some more question to be able to check it! @Loki Harfagr Is that a drumkit I can use with drum machines and similar (ex: Hydrogen), or I should use it standalone, maybe playing it with Ardourd using midi? It's plugin only not ...

Re: RME Babyface Pro not recognized anymore on my system

Try "sudo dmesg -w" in one terminal window and "sudo modprobe snd_usb_audio" in another.

Probably worth to try "sudo modprobe snd-usb-audio" in case the "_" version doesn't grip ;)

Re: rtirq and threadirqs performance

Possible problem is that xhci might cover many stuff including disks so you may try to favoritise your audio interface, in a console launch this command: watch grep xhci /proc/interrupts Then in another console or from an audio app do something that would use noticeably your targeted audio interface...

Re: Plugin development philosophy

Next question: Should dials show numeric values, or should numbers be hidden to encourage "trust your ears"? The correct answer to these two possibilities is a dear full and sincere yes! The way to achieve the GUI is now left for study ;) Maybe as a default keep the values hidden but when...
