Re: Matchering 2.0

Hey, that's a nice full of promise one! Thanks for the note :) Just been testing some mix-mastr-blund-unblund and cross-reverse simile and it's a very promising start! Only some minor 'curiosities' in the overall limiting when using quite extreme refs but that was quite close to the usual matter of ...

Re: New headphones

I personnally used (and still use them in a few occasions) various Sennheiser (from good ole 540-ref_II, some 6xx series and a 265 [aka the budget 6xx]) but got quite tired of their life expectancy constant reduction through the generations, then I tested a few AKG which sounded good but didn't fit ...

Given that excellent idea and adding the the feeling it sorts of shots'n sharpies a bunch wild of spaghetti within the sound I'd even dare a "Bnessuno"

Re: Is it possible to find sane loop points from samples automatically?

I must be in the wrong place, I thought this was the LinuxMusicians forum :P Thought so as well :D And in case of emergency CLI, which could be the case here since the script integration (or might be I read it perpendicularilly ;) there's good old SoX, Q&D PoC examples: sox in.wav output.wav si...

Re: Virtual Midi Port/Cable

Have you by any chance installed cadence previously? This could be starting in the background.. No I've never had cadence on this machine. This might give you the "faulty parent" name and address ;) #>: ps -ef | grep $( ps -C jackd --no-headers -o ppid ) I don't know what to do with the o...

Re: Virtual Midi Port/Cable

I can't find anything specific that's starting the JACK server, however I am using the pulse-audio sink which runs on start-up, does this automatically start the JACK server? You may check it any old time in a console: #>: ps -ef | grep -i jack I get this output, but I don't know what it means dave...

You may check it any old time in a console:

Code: Select all

Re: Exhastive List of Free Native Linux Plugins

A very minor complaint: 'exhaustive' is misspelled in the thread title. ;) I didn't even notice it for the first couple weeks this thread's been around, but now that I've seen it I can't unsee it. Also, Airwindows needs to be on this list. Tons of good and/or interesting VST plugins there. (A...

Re: Auburn Sounds

Same case as Jonetsu here, on Arch too (Manjaro) when using Ardour5, Panagement LV2 loads with a fuzzy look (all scrambled and zagged) then violently crash (and crashes ardour). Now, it comes funnier, note that all the Auburn plugins (Free version ATM) work fine in jalv or in Mixbus (which somewhat ...

Re: Overdrive/distortion recommendation

Hi guys, what overdrive/distortion do you use on vocals and drums? .... I really love Guitarix Tube Screamer emulation but it cuts lows and highs (which is great for guitars and other stuff) ... can you recommend something similar to Guitarix Tube Screamer but with "extended" lows and hig...

Re: Ardour: MTPowerDrumKit2

Problem might lay there:
Wine build: wine-3.0.2
It's been quite a while since I jumped to wine V4 (version I use at the moment on my 4.19.72-rt26-MANJARO (arch distro) is wine-4.18) Either do the jump or just in case do the test with some "live audio distro" like KXstudio ...

Re: Ardour: MTPowerDrumKit2

That worked, thanks. The plugin cannot be loaded from within ardour. I added the Carla-RackFX and loaded the MT-PowerDrumKit from there: access_ui.png Fine, but how can I access the user interface shown in this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsmA1cFH5YQ&feature=emb_logo You may like to ...

I have downloaded MTPowerDrumKit2 https://www.powerdrumkit.com/download-file.php?v=MTPDK-2.0.9-VST-64bit-for-Linux-Wine-FULL&ver=2.0.9 and put the files MT-PowerDrumKit.dll and MT-PowerDrumKit-DE-Content.pdk to the folder /usr/lib/vst/ The manual refers to: https://appuals.com/how-to-use-window...

Re: XT-SP phaser for $29 (includes Mixbus32C)

I must say I did not really look at it since I'm not interested in a phaser. I modified the main subject line. Still, Mixbus32C is on sale for some $40 or so (convert to your country currency). Includes a de-esser plugin. https://harrisonconsolesstore.onfastspring.com/mixbus-v5-and-ava-ds-free?utm_...
