Re: Native Access
I achieved to make the free Kontakt Player runnable on my Linux (Even the VST within Carla). I can't remember the exact step (sorry), but here are some few tricks I usually do when I have some complex software : [*] Install wine-rt instead of wine. [*] Don't forget to install wineasio [*] Try with a...

Re: Audacity problems start in debian 9 stretch
Hello!
You shouldn't start Audacity as root (su). Just try to start the program as a normal user and it should work better.

Re: vcvrack.com - open source modular
I tried to compile the linux version earlier today and achieved to do it after one hour of struggling with the dependencies. But it was buggy (connectors were not circle but small ellipse) and I also saw that I was only in the middle of the config, because I now had to compile the plugins :(. So I j...

Re: SFZ Automatic Creator
So how does it assign notes? The notes are created from key 36 (check this website : http://www.mildon.me/apps/oneshot, put your mouse on the keyboard and it will show in the corner which note is which key) and then every new wave file has a number ++ (37, 38 etc...) it is interesting when you have...

SFZ Automatic Creator
Hello, I would like share a small python script I made to automatically create a sfz with the wave files of a folder. You have to specify the sfz filename as first parameter, and the wave folder as the 2nd parameter. Here is the script : #!/usr/bin/python import sys, glob if (len(sys.argv)<3): print ...

Re: My sfz works when I specify the key, but I need help to just use one note and automatically transpose
I have tried your example with free samples I downloaded (https://cymatics.fm/fx-toolkit-vol-5/) and it just work in Carla. Here is my config file : <region> sample=./Cymatics - FX Toolkit Vol 5 - Future Bass Edition/Risers/Cymatics - Riser 34 - 160 BPM A.wav pitch_keycenter=73 lokey=50 hikey=90 May...

Re: your advice on Linux-compatible MIDI INTERFACES please
Could you find/build a MIDI controller that would allow you to somehow have the feeling of playing a guitar with all its expressibility? Such a MIDI controller does already exist, as a matter of fact. It's called Jam Origin MIDI Guitar, and it's really, really good. And the only one out of three (J...

Re: My csound plugins
cool thanks! Have you thought about trying to use cabbage (http://cabbageaudio.com/)? I've seen some fancy plugins come from that. Thanks for the advice. When I was searching for the best way to do my plugin, I came through cabbage, it's really interesting if you need a GUI. Here it was only simply...

My csound plugins
Hello! I wish to present you with my effort to create plugins that are useful to me and to other (may be!). I used csound to create the plugins and cslapsda to make the plugin usable. Csound is a programming language dedicated to create music / instrument or real time effect. The first plugin here i...

Hello from Belgium
Hello everybody, I've been using linux as my main OS for more than 10 years now (Linux Mint for desktop and Debian for servers at my job). Back in 1997 I was using WIN98 and a DAW called Quartz Audio Master. I was very happy with it as it was intuitive and mixed midi / wave tracks. Later in the 2000...
