Re: Flatpaks can access any directory without permission?

I felt I had to reply to this thread when I noticed it was Steam related - and share a link to some games I created in my alter-ego as an occasional 8-bit retro game developer. What started out as a side-project during some unexpected free time back in 2020... In which I decided to refresh my Z80 as...

Re: ACM520X1 Stereo Bus Compressor Plug-In for Linux Released

Ok, thanks, now i can see it. Honestly, it's really not obvious, especially when english is not your main language I have given some feedback about this to our e-commerce provider. As I understand it the format of the purchase / checkout form was changed recently, and unfortunately this is not some...

Re: ACM520X1 Stereo Bus Compressor Plug-In for Linux Released

We use a third-party e-commerce store to handle purchases, I have messaged them regarding the issue to see if it can be made clearer as to where / how to enter the code when you make a purchase. I regret that I can't resolve individual issues on a public forum however.

Re: Reaper with CLAP support

I'll just mention these again - its not normally my intention to spam the forum but I feel they kind of got lost earlier in the off-topic debate. So, now available in VST2, VST3, CLAP and JACK format. Recently updated to V3.12 I humbly present for you delight and entertainment.... https://www.acmt.c...

Re: Reaper with CLAP support

Not being able to see the source code of programs is an absurd restriction. When you release your own music, what license do you use and do you also provide all the raw tracks / sessions / samples / presets / stems etc so that anyone can remix them - and republish or redistribute them, possibly for...

Re: Reaper with CLAP support

On the distribution side can anyone tell me where system-wide CLAP Plugins are supposed to be placed on a Linux system, please tell me it's something sensible like /usr/lib/clap/...? I haven't been able to find an official reference in the spec, but Reaper (and Bitwig) which are the only two CLAP h...

I regularly post about these just about everywhere, but it seems there is a google-proof forcefield surrounding them despite my best efforts, so if you try th...

Re: Audio Assault has a new channel strip plugin

So what do you think of it? I've played with it a little but the filters sounded pretty good to my ears. Firstly let me say its great that another manufacturer is supporting Linux, and I think the channel strip is a useful addition to the growing range of native Linux plug-ins. While the appearance...

Re: Audio Assault has a new channel strip plugin

I guess one advantage of using such is saving compute power. If multiple plugins (comp, saturation, eq, what else) is combined to one, there is less overhead compared to situation where you have all those separately. Another benefit might be more streamlined use, just add that your favorite plugin ...
