Re: Disabling AUDIT in the kernel?
Hi, I'll rewrite my bootloader config soon. Today I discovered that for current kernel releases only 'mitigations=off' is needed to disable mitigations. Since I don't need audit, I started to build my kernels with audit not set again. What is the content of your files in /sys/devices/system/cpu/vuln...

Re: Why run Windows software on Linux?
There's nothing odd with the path. I tested the pre-build Linux binary and I compiled it myself. One issues with the Linux version is, that on my Arch Linux install only a bulk dump of 25 or less patches works. A bulk dump of more patches doesn't. The other issue is, that it could crash while editin...

VirtualBox iOS guest

Re: Bluetooth headphones
I have foreseen that I missed to mention that latency isn't a concern when I send the same request too https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-studio-users/2019-March/011363.html . A lot of editing I'm doing requires neither studio headphone audio quality, nor is latency an issue. To do this editin...

Re: Bluetooth headphones
My Linux DAW doesn't need bluetooth at all. Bluetooth is needed for equipment used in combination with the Linux DAW. It's already tested with a bluetooth headphone. It works without issues. The bluetooth headphone is not paired with the Linux DAW. IOW I don't need help to get bluetooth running . I'...

Bluetooth headphones
Hi, I'm looking for an over ear bluetooth headphone. I like semi-open headphones with unobtrusive bass. In the studio I'm using the discontinued diffuse field-equalised AKG 240 DF since decades. It doesn't support bluetooth. IMO the best headphone on this planet. For sure not the best headphone for ...
