Analog mixer for Linux-Ardour

Hi all,
I'd like to know if any of you uses an analog mixer to record with Linux, better if with Ardour.
If so, what brand?
Thank you

Re: Convert a song into music sheet

Yep, don't let the labels screw you up. Do everything by yourself 8) Anyways, uploading something on a website or on the tube it's the best way to get stolen your stuff. I've just found out there are small companies registering your material on the date they receive it, releasing a kind of badge, st...

Re: Convert a song into music sheet

Lucky you, 42. The times I opened up a music book I've read the first page and closed it istantly
I actually need to transcribe the tunes for register them, you know copyright bullshit and so on.

Re: Convert a song into music sheet

42, yes they're my tunes. Some are all audios, others contains midi also: piano, organ, orchestra, and so on. Marcia, at first I installed musescore but I haven't tried it. I was looking for something that convert the song into music sheet but, as I wrote, I've read that's not a good idea because th...

Re: Convert a song into music sheet

Thanks guys but, expecially for the first link I'm a musician, not a computer geek. That's too difficult. Also. I've read on the net that it's better to play some bars of the song with a midi software and transcript it, it's more precise. So now I have to find a software that convert the played midi...

Convert a song into music sheet

Hi all, probably this issue has been submitted several times, but I'm completely ignorant at this. Does exist a software that convert an audio track into music sheet? I have several tunes recorded with Ardour, each of which contains many instruments. Is it possible to play the tunes converting them,...

Re: brush kit for Hydrogen?

Folks, I've created the drumkit but there's a problem: I cannot export it to share it with anybody. I've also post in the H2 forum but that forum appears to be more dead than alive. So, did anybody ever created a kit? I followed the manual but in the end, even though I exported the one I created, wh...

Re: brush kit for Hydrogen?

Guys, I'm about building the brush kit finally. I ask you one favour, that needs a little patience: the free samples by Soniccouture are many and I named them in order to understand what each instrument is. I've tried to name them the closest to each sound, though not being a drummer I'd need somebo...

Re: brush kit for Hydrogen?

Hi Jeff,
Linuxsampler is too complicated for me. But I've checked the tutorial on how to build a new instrument in H2, so I'll try to do it later with the wavs I've downloaded from Soniccouture.

Re: brush kit for Hydrogen?

Nothing at all. I've checked the two links. The stuff in Soniccouture is for different daws; there's only a series or wav files but I don't know if it's possible to use them in H2. In the other links by wjl there's nothing usable. There's a big collection I've already downloaded once but no brushes ...

Re: no sound from sound card

True, Pablo. I've installed the Studio once but since I had some problems, not related to music, I removed it and re-installed the plain Ubuntu.

Re: (free) 2.2 Virtual Playing Orchestra

True, Michael: I had completely removed the damn linuxsampler from my mind.
Noedig, that was a long story. Anyways I couldn't export any music with Michael's stuff. I've tried extensively but I dunno it doesn't work for me.
In the end, I've opted for the Sonatina.

Re: no sound from sound card

Hi Crocodile rock, thank you very much.
Wow, that's very coomplicated for me. Double wow, your guide is quite stunning.
I'm going to study it by tomorrow.
Though the link you post is for Archlinux, I don't know if it might also works for Ubuntu.
Thanks 2k anyways.

Re: no sound from sound card

Pablo do you mean the audio settings that come out when you click the speaker icon on the top bar in Ubuntu? Because if it's that, it didn't work for me. When I turn the fast track on, connected to the monitors and via USB to the computer, in the list I have Speakers - Internal Audio and two options...
