Bad sound when playing Carla plugin through jack transport
Setup: -Jack 0.4.5 -Ardour 5.12.0 -Carla 1.9.13 -Loopcloud VST If I simply connect the Loopcloud VST to Ardour via Jack, I can get the sound through Ardour just fine. However, If i sync them through jack transport, sound quality deteririorates substantially, anoying crackling ensues, as if many xrun...

Catia doesn't start: missing msvcr100.dll (Windows)
Hi. I know this is Linux musicians but I found no other forum for KXstudio stuff. I recently downloaded Jack for Windows, and it worked just fine (still not figuring out how to enable midi support but that's subject for another thread). I am used to control Jack on linux with Catia, so I downloaded ...

Re: ERROR: kxstudio-meta-all: Depends: kxstudio-meta-audio-plugins but it is not installable
wouldn't it be useful to pick a freeze of debian testing every month (or more or less) and maintain that?falkTX wrote:self-contained applications cannot work for plugins (well, some of them).
The plugins that use shared library toolkits (gtk2, qt4 and qt5) are not easy to setup in such scenario.

Oh well. That's the beauty of debian stable anyway.superprick wrote:repos are currently not working with buntu 16.10 or debian rolling. faltx will be working on it over the holidays per a previous post. use debian stable "i think" or ubuntu 16.04 for now

Re: Real time kernel solution for Debian Jessie (stable)?
Hi, Jessie compatible RT's can still be found here: http://bandshed.net/forum/index.php?topic=3719.0 Thank you. I installed kernels from there (worked relatively fine so far) and that led me to new issues. However, since your post pretty much solved the original question of this thread, made a new ...

"failed to load module" after installing Gren-Trulan's AV Jessie kernel

[solved] Real time kernel solution for Debian Jessie (stable)?
Hi.
I learned there is no RT kernel for Debian Jeesie Stable. Is this correct? Then what should I do to get real time performance with this distro? I learned there is Liquorix kernel however it only supports Testing version of Debian Jessia afaik.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Can't create more than one pulseaudio jack sink or source
I definitely not a specialist of that question, but I don't know how it could be possible. With all the plugins available, are you sure that you can't use a more 'academic' way to do what you want ? What do you mean by "more academic"? I need a a program or plugin that allows me to modify...

Re: Can't create more than one pulseaudio jack sink or source
I know, it's preferable to manage without of pulseaudio and stick to jack/alsa. However , I need to use a voice effect (voice distortion) that needs pulseaudio. The problem is, I need more than one pulseaudio jack sink, however the system only lets me to create one. After that, when running foo@bar...

Re: How to get MIDI output from guitarrix?
I got curious and tested this in Carla with gxtuner.lv2 controlling ObXd, and it works reasonably well. gxtuner must trig in mono, but with synth settings with long notes you can easily build harmonics from a sequences of notes: http://www.etcetera-music.eu/public/instruments/LinuxMusic/Audio-5.mp3...

Re: How to get MIDI output from guitarrix?
Thanks Tramp for chiming in and clearing doubts. Anyway, wonderful piece of software. Top class imo. To English Guy: I made aubionotes work, however, the result was underwhelming. A lot of false notes and undesired octave changes. Did it work well enough for you? If so, may you share your configuati...
