Re: Setting up on Fedora

if that can reassure you, years ago, linux audio was a nightmare :) Today, if you buy a USB audio card, it works out of the box. No need to compile a specific kernel driver. Linux installation is also a nice experience. I remember having to copy 2 disks to choose color installation with a specific c...

Re: Setting up on Fedora

The last 'technical' tuning is to add your user in the pipewire group or in the jackaudio group: $ usermod -a -G pipewire <YOURUSERNAME> as a root user. You can also increase the priority in the pipewire file located in /etc/security/limits.d/ Both changes requires a deconnection / reconnection. At ...

Re: Update for the Fedora / Audinux packages repository

Maybe a problem with wayland.
You can try:

$ WAYLAND_DISPLAY= hydrogen

to force hydrogen to be run on x11
or

$ GDK_BACKEND=x11 hydrogen

The last command is more for Gtk applications. It helps me with a redraw problem on audacity.

Re: Update for the Fedora / Audinux packages repository

A while back, zrythm was in the repository.
The zrythm project has a lot of extreme requirements and the last time I tested the build, I was not able to build it.
I will retry wednesday or thursday to check out if it builds.
The spec is here, but I need now some luck to pass some problems :)

Re: Guitarix.vst v0.2 released

A test on fedora 39 with vst3-guitarix 0.2. I used pipewire with a buffer size of 64 / 48000 as a samplerate. Without xruns. The nice thing: vst3-guitarix was able to access my guitarix presets :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkGxNSH0XgM I also used tuxguitar-1.6.1 (which supports guitarpro 8 fil...
