On the page https://drumgizmo.org/wiki/doku.php?id=documentation There is : Compiling / installing - linux / File Formats / CLI-HowTo It would be helpful to add "Usage" or "Using" up front. Currently it is hidden at the end of "Compiling / installing - linux" Some "...

Add links to Musical-Artifacts.com
The site https://Musical-Artifacts.com/artifacts?apps=drumgizmo&tags=drumkit Could be a good link to point to to gather multiple sources. This page could add a link to it: https://drumgizmo.org/wiki/doku.php?id=kits I have no interest in this site! Note it is Ad-Free! and maybe (surely) there ar...

Fedora packages?
Not that compilation is really hard, but I guess we are not far away from having a drumgizmo package in Fedora: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/ycollet/linuxmao/package/drumgizmo/ https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1210356 Anyone interested? At least I will be monitoring this thread...

Re: Looking for DAW with strong notation editor on any OS.
I have been using MuseScore with Ardour with Jack synchro and it works. Could be easier if session was handled with more coherence and unity. I did not find an option to tell MuseScore not to create its Midi and Audio connexion.

Re: QJackCtl sessions or Patchbay
I admit there is one flaw with using -aa to restrict self connection : If you want to add a track or to change some routing in Ardour, you cannot anymore! The restriction does not happen only when launching the apps. This and the Jack1 / Jack2 developed in parallel, but not with same options (Jack1 ...

Re: QJackCtl sessions or Patchbay
Last point would be: Is there a wiki where this is explained or should be explained ? I filled a RFE in QJackCtl to have the -aa option in the GUI (as in ladiconf http://www.penguinproducer.com/Blog/2012/01/preventing-self-connections-in-jack-apps-aka-making-ladish-work-with-everything/ ) https://so...

Re: QJackCtl sessions or Patchbay
And it works! Thanks a lot. :D For the record, I had to "sudo dnf remove jack-audio-connection-kit-dbus " because for whatever reason, adding "-aa" to the prefix was not taken into account when restarting Jack from QJackCtl. (It also removed Ladish, wich is sad since Ladish GUI w...

There is a beautiful site https://pipewire.org/
But the command line interface is not ultra intuitive yet. I have no idea what to do with it

Re: QJackCtl sessions or Patchbay
Thanks, I can have almost everything restored. Only thing is that I get extra connections, that I have to remove. For example, MuseScore reconnect to default playback "automatically", even if not specified in the session XML file. I don't see an "exclusive" option https://github....

QJackCtl sessions or Patchbay
Hi, I am using QJackCtl with Ardour, MuseScore and Guitarix on Fedora. It works great, but I would love to be able to close everything and restart the next day without having to reopen and rewire everything. In QJackCtl, the session worked almost completely, restarting MuseScore and Guitarix, but no...

Re: obligatory Which interface?
I tested the Alesis Core1: it works. Recording and monitoring.
There is a bit of latency, but definitively usable. (it also works on Android)

Re: Guitarix UI on Fedora: Difficult to see/read
Using Fedora 27 and Guitarix: guitarix-0.35.2-6.fc27.x86_64 I still have the problem : light gray button with white font ... unreadable. I tried the sed command, but it did not help (cannot see any difference.) The workaround was to install Tweaks (Gnome Tweaks) and change the Application theme from...

Re: MuseScore to Ardour, Yoshimi gets wrong instruments
Hi, Thanks, I disabled all changes and it worked. I was hoping for a better MuseScore - Ardour Synth link. It is not clear to me if it is MIDI weakness or if a "better" midi instrument plugin could provide a more seamless experience??? Because even after the Yoshim instrument, I send each ...
