Now that I have Airwave working, how do I connect it with Wine using Winetricks?
I'm looking for a walkthrough, but can't find one.
Thanks!

Re: Hey There
Hello! I am using Ubuntu Studio as well. I finally got things sorted on my laptop after a month or so. How is Bitwig working for you? I was learning how to use Ardour but the program somehow got removed during a system update. I am now checking out the Bitwig demo and seeing how I like it. Though, $...

I have it but haven't taken the time to learn how to use it yet..sysrqer wrote:You could have got it from the kxstudio repo as well. Honestly I have no idea why you don't add that, it would make things much easier for you.

Airwave Question!
I've been trying to get Airwave set up on my laptop but I keep getting this error: http://pastebin.com/gQhPh6SN What does that mean? I've got the latest version of Wine using this: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wine/wine-builds sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install --install-recommends winehq-devel...

Figured out a way to get around this and now everything works! Sort of a fun little VST to play with.

Thanks for the advice!barbouze wrote:I think you should sudo make install. But there is a better solution, checkinstall. It creates a nice package and makes maintenance easier
Unfortunately that doesn't seem to work.

Re: Having trouble with installing Bristol
I've returned to this and everything seemed to be going well.
When I went to 'make install', I am getting this error:
What does this mean?

Re: Having trouble with installing Bristol
Take a break from it, come back and try again some other day. Hey, thanks for making me check out bristol. While my first impression with a few of the synths(Hammond, rhodes) was not impressive, I'm starting to groove on some of them. The graphics in some are way cool, and some of the sounds are fr...

I have already done this! I haven't gotten around to checking it all out yet, but I will be soon! It's going to be a rough work week and I'll need my Linux outlet in the evenings.

Re: Having trouble with installing Bristol
I told you how to remove the files that exist already. If you build and install it again the files should get overwritten anyway. Open a terminal cd /usr/local/bin sudo rm bristol etc. You could just use the disable version check that it mentions, it's just a warning in case you installed this thro...

Re: Having trouble with installing Bristol
Thank you kbongosmusic for walking me through that issue. I tried the steps you took and it is still causing me a lot of stress. Bristol seemed perfect for the type of music I want to make. I'm really into minimal wave, cold wave, post punk, electro punk, and 80's synth pop. I thought it would have ...
