Is anyone here a current or former student of Linux Academy?

Shuffle

Anyone up for a little blues? I play bass. I'd like a HammondB3 and some guitar. This is going to be a sound track for a video I'm helping record -- me riding a motorcycle from Maine to TX next summer. There will be interviews along the way, but I'd like something fast and shuffly between, on the ri...

Re: Open Source Drum Samples

I'm not sure why Ididn't get notification that my post was replied to. I missed a private message too. No license issues as far as I'm concerned -- I recorded the samples with my own two hands (and a mackie mixer, with lots of condensers and SM57s). I should probably make sure to stick an open sourc...

Re: Need a new Linux-compatible audio Interface

qeiynn? How'd you make out? I'm getting ready to buy one and wanted to see what happened in your world. I'm replacing a little Behringer analog mixer.

Re: Clarinet

Very clean. You're playing right on the beat though. If you're going to cut it again, see if you can jump it and lag in spots. Wicked clean though. I like it. I heard this song first in a commercial I saw a few years back where children's crayon drawings were superimposed on what looked like NYC bui...

Open Source Drum Samples

I grabbed samples of a friend's DW set about 15 years ago. I'm more than happy to share them if anyone wants them (I use them in Hydrogen for my own stuff) but I failed to grab brush sounds. Anyone know where I can find some? Any drummers willing to make me some?

Re: Clarinet

If you've got any melodies you've written, I'm game for cutting you a bass track. I listened to the track you linked to. Like others said, there was a bit of natural reverb, but you're very clean with the clarinet itself. I do have a jazz box here, so I might be able to wing a rhythm track too, if y...

Bass For Hire

Heh, not really. Anyone need tracks cut? I'll work for free. Trying to build some relationships, as the other collaboration websites are kind of a pain. Mostly, I see "Needs bass" only to find that there are already bass tracks cut. Plus I'd rather work with folks that I know are using my ...

Collaboration

I could be just numbing it, but is there a section here I can't find yet where people can swap tracks? Some sort of "I'll cut you some bass if you cut me some guitar" thing? I've been on a bunch of collaboration websites, and have a hard time finding stuff.

Mainah looking for like minded musicians

Hey folks, just joined up. I'm hoping to find folks to collaborate with; rural Maine is a bit dry in the musicians department. I play bass (Pedulla MVP4) and a little guitar (Ibanez archtop and an acoustic archtop I just got) I've had a regular studio using a Mackie recorder for years, but am just g...
