Re: Airwave VST bridge

Running windows VST on linux is something that is too huge for them to ignore. A daw supporting windows vsts in linux isn't a big moneymaker. Releasing the windows version of Ardour4 is the new course. Ardour competing within linux against renoise, tracktion, carla, bitwig, radium, qtractor, and re...

Re: Airwave VST bridge

Yes, the "black window bug" occurs every time in the Ardour4. I have not found a workaround for it. Apparently I need to dig the WINE sources, but it won't be easy. Well, I think possibly this might be a bug for Ardour to fix? maybe they'd collaborate with you? Running windows VST on linu...

Re: Airwave VST bridge

Well, to be honest, I don't know how to work with the Ardour. I've successfully added a new track with reFX Vanguard and even was able to play it using my midi controller. But after the 20 minutes of usage I still can't find how to show the VST editor. What a shame :-) I will try to load some Voxen...

Re: ALSA No Longer Sees MIDI Hardware

Found a fix for this on my antegros (arch) box. 1) Create this file as root /etc/modules-load.d/modules-load.conf and 2) put this in it snd_seq_midi 3) and then save it. reboot. voila! so for me I opened a terminal and typed sudo gedit /etc/modules-load.d/modules-load.conf in it and then typed 'snd_...

Midi works in Bitwig, not in Jack.

I don't suppose you can think of a reason my midi has stopped working in Jack yet works in BitWig? My midi got borked after a kernel bug which I believe has now been fixed in an update but since then Jack just will not see my usb midi keyboard. I've tried setting RAW, SEQ even that A2J program, noth...

Re: Airwave VST bridge

thanks for the info but that mounting procedure doesn't work because the installer installs NIs own ISO mounter which the installer of alicias keys looks for. It's *that* iso mounter which doesn't work in WINE, very frustrating because I'm convinced it would work otherwise ;)

Re: Airwave VST bridge

thankyou! - I've uninstalled that iso software (was trying to install alicia keys with wine, NI use a windows iso loader to install and I just couldn't get it to work under wine at all) airwave is now happily chunking through my vsts.... . . . aaaaand.... FIXED! wonderful! Ardour3 still doesn't see ...
