I need to upgrade the OS on my desktop (currently it's Ubuntu Studio 16.04), and I'm confused about what the fact that 18.04 isn't LTS means. My most important question is, does this cause any security vulnerabilities due to lack of updates? And also, what are the drawbacks an average Ubuntu Studio ...

Did this get fixed? Tried for a while to compile zynaddsubfx and kept getting errors, but then today I noticed there was a new package called zynaddsubfx-dssi-git available from KXStudio and installed it instead of zynaddsubfx-dssi, and the plugin works great now!

I found that the problem remains when I build Rosegarden myself. Interestingly, zynaddsubfx-dssi as installed from Ubuntu Studio doesn't show up in Rosegarden at all; only the kxstudio version does (but gives me the error). Is there a way to compile the zynaddsubfx-dssi plugin myself?

Is this a new development? Just a few weeks ago I was using ZynAddSubFX in Rosegarden in Ubuntu Studio 12.04, and it worked just fine. And the presets I was using (and therefore was trying to use again) are not ones that use PADSynth, if that is relevant.
