Re: Paul Fool - DEMO

I think it all worked well together. I kind of like how it drifted off into a king of proggy thing and then snapped back into the Skynyrd groove.

Re: Carla and calf plugins: Failed to load plugin

I had a problem recently where Calf plugins would not load in Arch. As I recall there was some kind of error regarding fluidsynth. I ended up downgrading libinstpatch which is a dependency of fluidsynth.

I Guess

This one is a straight ahead rocker recorded in Ardour. The plugins are pretty basic. A lot of A-Compressor and X42-Eq. There is a Calf Saturator on the master, Harrison XT De-Esser on the vocals, A-Delay on the slide guitar and Tap Reverberator on the reverb bus.

Roland SPD_SX Pro

I was wondering if anyone has plugged an SPD-SX Pro into a linux box. I would imagine that it is class compliant as the SPD-SX is but I can't find any info to verify that.

Re: Hyrdogen appears out of sync with Ardour (maybe a Jack issue?)

I had a sync problem one time with Ardour and Hydrogen. The problem was that I tapped out the beat and went with an odd tempo with 2 decimal places.

I would crop a duplicate clip on the track above the original using rotoscoping or alpha shapes and then offset the position of the cropped clip.

Would you have a minute to elaborate on that a little?

Wild Divinity - Transparent

We posted a new video for Tiffany's song Transparent. Recorded and mixed in Ardour and the video was done in Kdenlive. The plugins were pretty basic. Mostly a-compressor and X42-eq. LSP Impulse reverb, Calf Saturator and there was a GX Rat on one of the guitar tracks. The drums were done in Hydrogen...

Re: MGV - Tribute to Gordon Lightfoot

I'm concerned about glen's increasing obsession with canadian 'adult easy-listening' radio fodder. I think we should arrange an intervention before his band starts covering songs by Ann Murray and Bryan Addams. I have to point out that comparing Gordon Lightfoot to Bryan Adams is like comparing Leo...

Masking background flaws in Kdenlive

I thought I should share this tip and maybe someone has a better process. My wife filmed a video and she didn't like that there was a nail hole in the wall beside her head. I could not find any info on how to edit that so I came up with this. Right click on the offending clip and "extract frame...

Spot eq

I was watching an old video of Rick Beato editing vocals and he was selecting parts of a vocal track and applying what he called spot eq to the selection. Is this something we can do in Linux? I don't think he said what eq he was using. I imagine that could all be done with processor automation but ...

Re: Not My God

We posted a video of ourselves playing it with backing tracks from the Ardour session. It was actually a bit of work to learn the parts I had recorded a few months ago well enough to play it through.

@Nachei I'm working on live versions and I like your suggestions.
