Re: How to get Ardour to work with my rig?

Which soundcard is jack using? And also, ardour works fine (better?) with alsa, so you might wanna skip jack. Stop jack (if running) and fire up ardour. Ardour should ask which audio backend to use. Select alsa and , *very important*, the correct soundcard. I'm guessing you want the behringer select...

Re: Automated Arch/pacman binary packages of AUR entries

Oh no, what did I break now again! I just make up version numbers on the fly it seems. I noticed that the last one was v0.1 and now am at v0.2.0 Is that a problem? And be aware that the lv2 version doesn't work in all hosts. Vst should be fine. There's a note in the readme. Friendly reminder my &quo...

Re: carla-bridge-wine32:i386 broken with wine 5.0

There's a big red balloon on that page which says "unstable" and you don't know if they didn't test it. Maybe it worked on the distro the devs used it, you never know what happened. My bet it's something that sneaked in at the last minute. Some small edit or a failed merge or something tha...

Re: cadence and pulseaudio not working well

Ok so I did (my first time using GitHub, tried different things but nothing worked) : ~/$ git clone https://github.com/rncbc/qjackctl.git Installation ------------ The installation procedure follows the standard for source distributions: ./configure [--prefix=/usr/local] make I did ~/Downloads/qjac...

Re: drums in syntesized midi

2 tricks going on. Compression on the kick drum. Side Chain compression (actually its called volume ducking but nobody says that) virtually all instruments from the kick. So whatever is playing the kick drum cuts through. I'm not that familiar with mixing in rosegarden so I can't really help you set...

Re: Virtual Midi Port/Cable

you seem to have some client that managed to auto(magically)started jackd ... and it also seems that it's still up and running... otherwise that "jackd -T .." would be long gone... anyway... try this: 1. killall -9 jackd 2. run qjackctl, go to Setup > Misc: turn off "Save JACK audio ...

Re: Virtual Midi Port/Cable

... I don't have this. Is there a way to add it or would it require me to install a different kernel? For the record : I'm on Ubuntu 19.10 with kxstudio repos added. I've also installed the kxstudio-default-settings package which adds the snd-seq-dummy.conf file But you can do this all manually &sd...
