I am looking to buy the Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 audio interface. I feel I've done extensive research and that it will work as an audio interface with my Linux distro. However can anyone shed any light on whether it can also be programmed in Linux so that it can then be used as a standalone interface.
More specifically, I would like to use it to record into an MPC 1000. If I were using Windows it seems there is some mixer software that allows you to change the Focusrite configuration and save it to the hardware. The interface can then be unplugged and used standalone. Is the same possible in Linux?
Thanks
Focusrite 6i6 in Linux and as standalone
