Hello all,
I am trying to set up an M-Audio Pro Fire 610 on PCLinuxOS KDE 64bit, to record a voice over while I play various games for a youtube channel that I am planning on setting up. I am hoping to have it all 100% done in Linux.
My current problem is the initial setup of the interface and getting it to show up in JACK, get sound in and out. I am compleatley unfamiliar with using FFADO and JACK and it's commands and my googling has shown up not much.
As far as I can tell it shows up as a firewire device but JACK does not see it.
Can somebody please help?

Have you read this page ?
http://www.ffado.org/?q=node/735
In short:
- setup ypur device using ffado-mixer
- use qjackctl and set "firewire" as the driver in the preferences
i'm not sure, whether you really need jack1 (as posted on the ffago page)
- restart qjackctl
If it doesn't work, post the output of qjackctl's message window on the above ffado page for more help
