Okay, I've walked to the fuzz pedals a lot now, a couple of nice sounding ones comes out of the walk. At least one, I've created a fuzzdrive plug which couples a distortion section behind a fuzz stage. Nice one, with a wide blend range from dark Fuzz to metallic distortion.

But, let's now come to something completely different.

Those of yours who use guitarix, already know the GCB95 plug, which is as well done with the ampsim toolkit.
I've added now, a other one of the Classic Wah pedals to guitarix, the VOX V847 Wah. Here is the schematic file for it:

This one is a excellent wah for following a fuzz pedal in the effect chain.
Indeed, it promise more fun with Transistors and Inductors.

More WAH waaahhhh wah. :D

Now added the Maestro Boomerang Wah EG-1 and the Dallas Arbiter Wah.
Schematic files and gx-plugs be available in our git repository.
On top of the emulation, I've added a manual/auto selector, so that you could use them as auto wah if you ain't own a Midi Pedal.

Cool! Is the auto wah controlled by envelope or LFO?

In auto mode they are driven by a envelop, with fast attack and a bit slower release time.
For the Maestro Boomerang auto mode I've limited the range a bit, as the Maestro is a wide range wah, it sounds a bit odd when driven by a envelop with full range.
But a LFO maybe a good third option for a alien mode.

After playing around with those emulations, I must say that the Vox is my favorite, as it is best suited for rock out.
The Maestro is better suited for funky style.
The Dallas is somewhere between those two, it's extreme loud, by the way.

Okay, it's done. The wah's now have a LFO based alien mode as well, controllable by bpm settings.

Do you know that, in guitarix, you could connect any bpm controller to the midiclock. So you could sync the bpm to a sequencer. That's were the fun with the alien mode begins.

Beside that, I'm currently playing with the Roland Double Beat, that's a funky thing, oh man. Just. it's extreme load, a bit to loud to be used in the guitarix chain. But fun, fun fun. :D

For the wah plugs I followed ssj71's advice and stick them together in one plug. Where you could select the Model to use from. There are 5 models now, new are the fox and the colorsound one's. My new fav is the colorsound.
