Just made a little demo of Ardour playing one of my mixes. Any suggestions on how to make it better next time? I want to make a decent video demo, but don't know how to make it informative enough.

Re: Ardour video showcase
thats good! we need more stuff like this that can help promote linux audio
If you wanted to try to spice it up and sell linux audio more, I'd say put in a few titles telling some of the features like "unlimited track count." Show the mixer view and some of the plugin UIs. Even as it is, its the exactly type of thing we need more of!

Re: Ardour video showcase
Thanks for the reply! After sharing this video with a couple of my friends I decided to start developing a sound engineery video course, using Ardour and Linux native plugins for illustration. My idea is that the course should be about how to deal with music creation in general, not being Linux-centric. So, I gonna tell people mostly about why and when to use a particular kind of processing instead of talking specific plugins and DAWs. This approach will attract users of all three major platforms with a side effect of increasing Linux pro-audio awareness while demonstrating its power. Don't think of me as of a fanboy which dreams to promote his favourite piece of XXX to everybody around, but nowadays Linux audio can save some money for studios which work with live music only. There's still not enough synths and modern samplers like Kontakt, but there's almost everything for live music present (well, except Melodyne). What do you think about it?ssj71 wrote:If you wanted to try to spice it up and sell linux audio more, I'd say put in a few titles telling some of the features like "unlimited track count."
